Sunday had gone by pretty smoothly, all Peter and Star did was make Rainbow Witch official and catch up on Fury's training. The former got extra for the mess he made at the phone store and on the streets.
Monday wasn't too eventful either. The only thing that really happened was Star accidentally turning her math teacher into a troll, then trying to help her find love. Pete got a kick out of that one.
Now it's Tuesday.
During Home Ed class, Star unwittingly found herself staring at the boys in the room, particularly Peter. Her roommate remained oblivious to it, and every time he looked, Star corrected herself to a smile. Finally, the bell rang.
Peter stretched as he grabbed his backpack. "Time to go." he said. Parker cast a glance to Star and noticed something on her forehead. "Hey Star, you got paint or something. Right here." he said, pointing to his own forehead.
Star pursed her lips and lifted her hair up to peel off what he was referring to. She held it in front of her to get a better look. It was a purple heart. Then she pulled it away. "Peter! This is not paint." she said in a partly nervous tone.
Peter already had his back turned but glanced back at her. "Congrats Star. Looks like you have another heart."
Star's expression turned serious. "Quiet Peter. This is serious." she expressed as she walked past him. Pete looked on puzzled. "I think I'm going through. Mew-ber-ty."Star finished ominously as more purple hearts appeared on her face. Star moaned and pulled her hair down to conceal her face the best she could.
Peter kept his skepticism as he raised a brow. "Mewberty? Relax Star. We have a similar thing here on Earth. No big deal." he said in an attempt to calm her down.
Instead, she sharply turned to him and pointed at him. He took a step back in surprise.
"Don't confuse this with your Earth things Pete." Star said, tone rising as she spoke. "I'm from Mewni!" Her eyes then shrank and she whispered, "This is gonna get really weird." The boy held his hands out in defense, but Star pulled him in by his backpack strap. "You gotta keep me away from boys!" she demanded before softening. "Wait a second. Peter's a boyyy." she said dreamily as her eyes turned to black hearts.
Peter chuckled nervously as he pulled away from the alien, snapping her out of the trance. "Hang on. When you say things are going to get weird, do you mean typical Star weird or like destroy the school weird?"
"Destroy the school."
"That's what I was worried about." he said, turning to leave the room. "Come on. Let's get you home." He left and Star stalked out of the room to follow.
"Oh no oh no oh no. Here comes a boy. You got this." Star whispered to herself while following her friend. She glanced over to see Harry talking to another student. "Oh wow it's Harry..." she half dreamily said as her eyes lit up and more hearts spawned over her face. She noticed this and instinctively covered her face more. "I don't think this is such a good idea-" She turned her attention to a boy drinking from a water fountain. Star pulled her hair aside as her eyes widened and jaw dropped. Peter obliviously kept walking, outcomes racing through his mind, not paying attention to her.
When he finally noticed, Star was already standing over the boy at the fountain. Her eyes had turned to hearts again as she jammed the flow of water with her finger. Hearts then start appearing all over her arm. The kid opened his eyes in surprise. "My turn..." she hypnotically said before Peter interjected by grabbing her free arm.
"Whoa. Okay, let's go." he said as he dragged her off. Suddenly, Star's exposed arm turned entirely purple and what would be her fingers shot out and stuck to a locker. The two screamed in panic as Pete's hand also turned purple, but mostly at Star's arm as he pointed it out. He ripped his hand free as Star tried to do the same with the locker. She grunted as she moved back, but lost her balance and slid into the opened locker.
"I am stuck." she stated as she looked up at Peter, who was glancing over the purple goo on his hand.
"Wow. I thought I was the only one with stickem' powers." he chuckled, trying to make the situation lighter. "Here. Let me help." he offered, bending to a knee. The princess scrambled to her feet and shut herself in the locker.
"No! Your little boy hands are part of the problem!" she stated from inside.
"Hey, I make sure to wash my hands every day to keep the cooties away." he joked as he wiped the stuff on his red hoodie. "Isn't there some way I can help? Maybe there's something in your book of spells that can stop this."
"Maybe."
"I'll go home and get it!" Parker said while running off as the bell rang.
"Please hurry." Star silently pleaded.
On the roof of the school, Peter had just finished changing into his costume. "Since it'll take too long to hail a cab to get home, I'll have to travel the new fashioned way." Spider-Man stated as he started to run. "Web swinging!" he yelled as he jumped high into the air to attach his webbing to a larger building. With that, he raced off.
Meanwhile, Star had spent the period peeling the little hearts off her body. Once that was done, Star let out a sigh of relief as she leaned further into te locker. "That's better." she said. Then the school bell rang, causing her to gasp. "Oh no." As students started filling the halls, hearts started to reappear.
"Oh no no no no." she panicked and paced in a circle within the space. Then in a miraculous change of luck, the bell rang again, and the hall was cleared. Star let out a small chuckle. "Huh. That wasn't so bad." But she forgot it was lunchtime, and the boys from the Midtown swim team walked in, shirtless and in trunks.
"Alright boys. We're gonna do our warm-up in here today." one of them said. "The pool's been compromised. Poop... it was poop. Somebody pooped in the poo. Okay! Let's get to it!" he finished before they started to stretch their arms and back.
Star was once again engrossed and slid her fingers through the vented space of the locker, and crushed the grooves to get a better look. More hearts appeared over her face and shoving out of the locker popping like popcorn.
At home, Peter had snuck through Star's window. May was out, so the only trouble Pete would have are the laser puppies. But he only had one thing in mind when he was rummaging through his roommate's space.
"C'mon. Come on! Where's the book?" he said while searching a chest. He started throwing out random medieval age weapons. "For a magic based princess, Star sure has a lot of physical weapons of death." Peter observed. Then a light bulb went off in his head. "Under the bed! Of course!" He looked under, and sure enough, it was hidden there. He pulled it out and started flipping through the pages. "This doesn't make any sense. Isn't there a glossary in this thing?" he asked frustrated.
Suddenly the pages started turning themselves. Taken aback, Peter scrambled for his mask and put it on. Then a tiny blue humanoid floated from the book. He had a purple jewel in his forehead, purple lips, white eyebrows and beard, and wore a yellow robe. He was sitting meditating style.
"Did someone say Glossaryck?" the magical creature asked with a slight echo.
Spider-Man sat wide eyed. "Uh."
