At Parker's residence, Star skipped in after being released from school.

"Aunt May! I'm home!" Star called. She was instead greeted by a red laser she had to avoid. The pups then followed suit yipping. "Whoa. Hey little guys!" she said as she picked one pup up. "Hmm. I really should give you names."

"Star? Is that you? I have your snacks in here!" May called from the kitchen. Star smiled and put the pup down after patting it on the head, and proceeded to the kitchen.

She grabbed an apple from the table and took a large bite to the point where the crunch was audible. "This is great! Where's Peter?" she asked.

"Upstairs in his room. Dear said he was sick and left school early. He seemed fine this morning." May explained.

"Thanks!" Star said as she ran upstairs. The elderly woman chuckled. "I'm glad you have made such a good friend in such a short time Petey."

Star slowly opened the door to Peter's room and poked her head in. The earth teen was turned on his side away from her in his bed. She grinned mischievously and walked in. She stuck her tongue out as she aimed her apple at his head. She threw it. Right before it could connect, Peter quickly rolled around and caught it with his left hand. Star stared slack-jawed.

Pete, half-awake, turned the apple to study it. "Gotta get up pretty early to pull one on me." he said, tossing it back to her.

The princess fumbled to get a clear hold of the fruit and sighed when she did. "Darn. Maybe I need to magic you next time?" she joked.

"Good luck with that." he said as he got up. He walked over to his desk and grabbed the V-252. "I'm about to go on patrol and return the V-252 while I'm out. Want to come with?"

Star raised an eyebrow. "Do you even have to ask? Of course I want to come with!" She coughed before raising her wand. "Magical Rainbow Witch Transform!" A blinding rainbow colored light covered the room, forcing Pete to shield his eyes. When he could see, Star floated in front of him fully dressed in her heroic attire. "Ta-dah!" she said.

Peter blinked before rubbing his eyes. "Okay, one. Warn me next time you're gonna do that. Two, that is awesome! Wish I could put my costume on like that."

Star giggled. "Yeah well I'm gonna be outside. So hurry up and get changed!" she said before closing her eyes and turning for the window.

"What did you say?" Peter asked from outside.

The alien blinked curiously and looked out the window; her jaw falling nearly to the floor when she saw Peter perched on the next house fully dressed in costume.

Spider-Man laughed at her expression. "That's right. I'm that good." he bragged before flipping off onto the roof of the house. She huffed before following him up.

In NYC, Spider-Man was running and parkouring from rooftop to rooftop and Rainbow Witch was riding a cotton candy cloud to keep up.

"The museum is in a few more blocks!" he informed her while pointing in the direction. "Hopefully I can get in and out without much fuss."

"I?" she asked.

Peter still couldn't get his mind off the events at school today. Not only was there the question of the Mewberty transformation draining his friend magically or even physically or not, there's also her state of mind. He was hoping that the 'Goo goo ga ga' thing for boys was gone, but the kiss she gave him afterwards has left him with mixed glee and doubt.

"Well you know. I don't feel like dealing with the curator, or guy in charge, about where it's been in the past few days." he said, pausing to jump into a roll on the next building. "I'll probably sneak it back in to place and be out before anybody sees me. That'll be kind of hard to do with you Miss Glitter."

Star put her finger to her chin to think about what he explained. "Yeah, okay. Makes sense."

Spidey silently exhaled in relief. "Bullet dodged." Then he nodded. "Great. Now let's get there and-" He paused once the sound of glass shattering caught both of their attention. "What was that?"

Rainbow Witch looked over the edge. "Look! Down there!" she said, pointing to a gunfight in the streets below. The police were cornered by a skinny thug in all black with black shades using some sort of energy weapon. Another police car pulled up beside their peers and was also put under fire.

A white van pulled on to the scene and straight for the cops. Two officers ran out of the way as the van rammed into their vehicle and rolled the windows down, revealing a muscular black thug with the same gear as the other one. Skinny hopped inside the van and the driver took off into an alleyway.

Spider-Man looked to his Rainbow. "We got to stop this before someone gets hurt."

Star smiled at him. "Then what are we waiting for partner?"

The webslinger jumped into the alley and swung in pursuit while Rainbow Witch flew after him.

Star noticed she was getting lower and lower to the ground with every flap. "Uh-oh." she mumbled before looking to Pete. "Hey Spidey! I think I'm running low on magic!" she yelled.

"What?" he responded while landing on the roof of the car.

She was almost ground level now. "I said I'm running out of power!"

"There's that power loss."  Peter thought. Suddenly, the van made a sharp turn out of the alley and on to the main street. "Whoa!" Spider-Man said as he tried to stay on. Then time slowed from his perspective. "Uh oh. Star's losing power fast and if my calculations are correct, at this speed, I've got fifteen seconds to get everyone in a two block radius out of danger. That includes: the old lady on the corner, the mother and kid crossing the street, and the skateboarders heading to the-wait!" Time returned to normal and he turned back to his descending partner. "Do you have enough for one more spell?" he asked quickly

Rainbow Witch fidgeted before nodding. "I think so."

"We got to stop the car! Aim for the wheels!"

She did as she was told before thinking of a spell. "Honeybee tornado swarm!" her scepter glowed yellow before firing a wave of honeybees. The swarm poked holes in all the tires causing them to deflate before dissipating. The scepter then turned red, signaling complete loss of power and Star fell and rolled roughly on the street.

Spider-Man looked back. "Crap." He punched through the roof, surprising both thugs while they were trying to keep the van steady. The hero took control of the wheel. "Sorry boys, but this car belongs in the HOV lane: for Hoodlum Operated Vehicle!" he joked while swerving out of the way of pedestrians. "Am I right? I mean left!" he yelled as he steered the van toward the skate park. They rammed through the fence of the park, scaring two skaters.

Unfortunately without tread, the van didn't take a ramp too well, and it flipped into the air. Spidey jumped off as the van flipped over and skaters stopped what they were doing to watch the spectacle. He planted his feet firm on the ground and caught it, grunting under the weight as the windows shattered. The upside down stop made the criminals hit the roof of the van and they groaned in pain from the impact.

He looked around at everyone. "And that, guys, is what you call an ollie." The crowd started cheering him on.

Then a familiar ringing went off in the back of his skull. "That's called my spider-sense." Suddenly, a green blur swooped from the sky behind him and tackled him to the ground. The van fell to the ground and Spider-Man rolled roughly to the wall. "Ow..." His eyes widened as a man with a green and gray metal suit with emerald green wings and metallic talons. His face was mostly hidden by an orange visor.

"You may have defeated my minions bug boy, but you'll beg for mercy at the claws of The Vulture." the man said through what seemed to be a voice modifier. The Vulture took a deep breath before screeching, sending shock waves directed to Spider-Man.

Spidey covered his ears and closed his eyes under the force. "The Vulture? Bug boy? Man, you are horrible at coming up with these names!" he taunted before falling over.
