It was morning time in the Parker household. Peter had just finished getting ready for school when he passed by Star at the table. The latter was eating cereal when she took notice of him.

"Morning Pete!" Star beamed. Peter looked back as he grabbed toast fresh from the toaster.

"Hey Star." The teen grabbed condiments for his breakfast before taking his seat at the table. "So... about last night."

Star looked him in the eyes. "I meant what I said Peter, and I'm willing to give it a shot." She ten lowered her voice. "I mean, if you are?"

Pete smiled. "I'd love to give it a go. But we can't let it get in the way of our super heroics."

"Alright! This is gonna be great!" the princess beamed.

"What's going to be fun?" May called from upstairs.

"Oops. Sorry Aunt May! It's nothing!" Star answered back.

"Okay."

Peter chuckled a bit. "Maybe we should keep it on the down low a little while." he proposed while taking a bite out of his toast.

"Works for me." she answered.

"This is great! I'll say it now, I feel like nothing can go wrong today."  Peter hoped to himself.

"Oh man. We're so late." Peter said. He and Star were in their alter ego's to quickly traverse the city after missing the bus.

"I told you we didn't have time to walk the pups." Rainbow stated from atop her cloud.

"I didn't want to leave them with Aunt May." Spidey defended before zipping around a corner. "Besides, I'm sure we can make it if we- agh!" A blur of black had tackled him from the side.

"Peter?" Star asked in worry.

Spider-Man fell into an alley roughly. "Uh. Hello? Spider-Sense? Let me know next time you're going to take a vacation. I don't like being caught off guard by..." he paused to see his mystery attacker on the roof above him. It was bigger than he was, similar to the Goblin in size and stature, but with a very familiar color scheme.

Rainbow had flown down to ground behind to see it too. Her eyes went wide. "Spider-Man, isn't that?"

"The black suit. Is that MY black suit?" he asked in shock. The creature chuckled before roaring. It had claws and a long tongue.

"And all this time I thought black was slimming." Peter joked.

The monster jumped on Peter in an attempt to pin him to the ground. Spider-Man held it back the best he could. "So this is what it was like to fight me in this costume." Rainbow blasted the former black suit with magic, sending it off her partner. The wallcrawler bounded to the roof it attacked him from.

"Well, a longer, slimier, more monstrous version of you." Star commented, ready for more.

The creature quickly got up, and Spider-Man encased it in webbing. The black oozed over the webbing, and it tore it apart. "I don't know about you, but I think the 'V' in 'V-252' stood for Venom." Rainbow Witch said, giving the attacker a name.

The now named creature flicked its tongue. "Venom? That's actually a pretty cool name." he complimented before Venom shot out its left arm to grab Spidey. The hero put out his arms in an attempt to block it. "Whoa. My spider sense still isn't working? Can I not sense this symbiote?" Peter said to himself.

Venom blocked an incoming blast from Rainbow Witch while dragging Spider-Man in. "Either way. Looks like I need to rely on my other gifts. And I don't mean in bowling." he said. Spidey leapt over the symbiote and broke from its hold. He ran up to Venom. "Although I'm still going for the strike!" he quipped before punching it.

The hit pushed Venom back a bit before getting hit once more by Star, sending it into the brick wall. "Yeah! I totally don't get what that means!" she boasted.

The symbiote roared before glaring. "I thought I gave the V-252 to Mr. Stark to keep at the Avenger's compound." Spidey stated before dodging a punch, clinging to the wall behind him.

"Could it be another one?" Rainbow asked before ducking under an attempt to web her.

Spider-Man kicked Venom from the side and rebounded next to her. "Could be." Then he realized something. "Unless it bonded with Tony before it could be securely stored. Mr. Stark? Is that you?" he said in an attempt to reach whoever could be inside.

It gave no verbal response. Instead, it threw a dumpster at the two. Star quickly caught it with her magic, but Venom charged through it and tackled them both into the street. They flew into the side of their school bus, surprising most kids inside.

"See? Told you we weren't late." Peter said to Rainbow. He noticed Venom slowly approach the two when he got an idea. "Any way to trigger the alarms of these cars?"

"What good will that do? Ohhhh." she asked before remembering the symbiote's weakness. "I can try." Star blasted cars nearby with non lethal cupcakes, just enough to activate panic mode.

The symphony of alarms made Venom clutch its head in pain, and parts of it began to pulse out. "It's working!" Rainbow Witch pointed out before the creature bounded away from the area.

"And he's gone. How's that for a duet?" Spider-Man joked.

She rolled her eyes playfully before looking back into the bus. "We really should get going."

Spidey caught her drift. "Yeah good idea." He grabbed her by the waist and shot out a webline to begin swinging.

Peter and Star had beat the bell to school and were walking hand-in-hand to class. They approached Star's first period when a voice rang behind them. "Puny Parker!" the male voice called. Peter sighed in exasperation and both turned around as Flash came up to them.

"Just the nerd I was looking for." Flash said.

"What do you want Flash?" Peter asked.

"Yeah! Hopefully not to bully Peter again." Star said while glaring.

Flash ignored her aggression. "Not this time short stuff. I'm asking for help."

"YOU? Need MY help?" the teen asked in shock.

"Yeah, yeah. Look. Mr. Salerno says that if I don't pass tomorrow's science exam, I can't play in the big game this weekend."" the jock explained.

"So? I'm not the biggest sports fan, but won't there be other games?"

"Are you kidding me? This game is against our biggest rival, the Truman High warriors. Our guys will be slaughtered without me!"

"Slaughtered?" Star asked.

"Yeah man. And besides, it's Homecoming! The game everyone'll want to see. So help me out here will ya Parker?"

Peter put his finger to his chin as he pondered his decision. "Yeah. Sure thing Flash." he answered.

Star faced her new boyfriend in surprise. "What?" she practically yelled.

Flash pumped his fist. "Awesome! Knew I could count on you. So where do you want to meet up?"

"Hmm. How bout Joe's coffee place a couple blocks from here around 4:00?"

"That'll work. See you then tiny tutor!" Flash said as he ran off.

Peter turned back to his girlfriend, who stood with a brow raised. "What?" he asked obliviously.

"Why'd you agree to help him? That would've been the perfect time to stick it to em!"

He shrugged it off. "You know I don't work like that."

"Yeah okay. But what about that slaughter thing?"

"Who knows. Football is a highly competitive thing as for as I can tell. Beating each other across the field that is."

"It's that brutal?"

"Far as I can tell." Peter looked at his wristwatch. "Uh oh. Two minutes. I got to get to class." He pecked Star on the forehead before taking off to the end of the hall. "See you next period!"

Star waved him off. "Bye!"
