"Mommy time to get up" Tommy says.
"Five more minutes" I say. Then Tommy and Thomas start to jump on the bed.
"You have to get up" Thomas says, "don't make me get cold water"
"Okay, okay I'm getting up" I say and set up and face tommy.
"Mommy I need to tell you something" he says.
"What is it?" I ask.
"No matter what just remember that you love daddy" he says.
"What..." I say then turn around. Thomas throws a bucket of ice cold water on me. I wipe my face, then lunge at Thomas. He starts to run I chase after him.
"Oooo, daddy is in trouble" Tommy says.
"Your daddy is in deep trouble" I say.
"Tommy, do something" Thomas says.
"Mommy, kick daddy's butt" he says.
"Thanks" Thomas says sarcastically. I tackle Thomas to the ground as the door opens.
"Am I interrupting something?" Eric asks.
"Uncle Eric," Tommy says and runs to him, "mommy is going to kick daddy's butt."
"Go mommy" Eric says. I get off Thomas.
"I got in touch with the school," Eric says, "you two go up there with him this morning, he has five months he needs to catch up on. I was able to get him a tutor that will also be his teacher until he is catch up."
"Thank you Eric" I say, Eric walks out and I get dressed. While I was getting dressed Thomas got dressed and also got Tommy dressed. I walk out to see Thomas and Tommy watching TV, it is a show for little kids, Thomas is more interested in the show than Tommy is. I turn off the TV.
"Hey, I was watching that." Thomas says.
"Come on kids we don't want to be late for school" I say.
"I'm older that you" Thomas says.
"Not really" I say, Thomas sticks his tongue out at me, "thank you for proving my point" I say. Thomas and I hold Tommy's hands as we walk to the cafeteria. Tommy and I set down at the table while Thomas gets food.
"Uncle Four and aunt Tris, mommy kicked daddy's butt" Tommy says.
"Nice work" Four says giving me a fist bump. Thomas come back with muffins, eggs, juice, and dauntless cake.
"Really, cake for breakfast." I say looking at Thomas, he looks down and shrugs his shoulders then starts to eat it. I put my hand to my face. Then Four gets up and comes back with cake, Zeke and Uriah get up to. Uriah sets back down next to Marlene with his cake.
"Really," Marlene says looking at him, "you got cake," he looks down, "and you didn't get me any." Marlene says and stands up to get some.
"I didn't get cake, so mommy isn't going to kick my butt." Tommy says to Thomas.
"Cake is worth getting my butt kicked" Thomas says.
"Then you enjoy that cake" I say. After we finish eating its time for school, Thomas and I go with Tommy to the school. I walked down these hallways over a year ago, at that time I was wearing gray, this time I am wearing black. We walk into a small class room a teenage dauntless girl is setting at one of the two desks in the room.
"My name is Meg," the girl says, "I'm fourteen. I got into a little trouble so my teacher said I have to do this. This is okay with me I love kids and I'm really good in most of my classes."
"This is Tommy" I say.
"Tommy we are going to have a lot of fun" Meg says. The bell rings and Thomas and I leave. Meg will tutor Tommy after school.

Thomas and I stand by the tracks, Meg and Tommy jump out.
"Mommy and daddy," Tommy says running to us, "I had so much fun with Meg."
"If it is okay with both of you, i was going to let Tommy and a little brake before we went back to work" Meg says.
"That fine" I say. We all walk back to the apartment, Thomas turns on the TV, it's still on the little kids shows, and get out cake for everyone.

As Meg and Tommy were studying, Thomas and I went shopping for toys, clothes, and other things I kid needs. When Thomas and I Finish shopping we go back to the apartment, just as Meg and Tommy finished Studying.
"Emerald may I speak to you?" Meg asks me.
"Sure" I say and we walk outside the door.
"What do you want to talk about?" I ask her.
"Tommy is a very smart little boy, but he has a lot to catchup on. You and Thomas are the first family he can remember, he needs you and Thomas. I have to go see you tomorrow." She says and walks off. When I go back inside Tommy is in the bath.

When he gets out he asks Thomas to continue reading the book. After Tommy goes to sleep Thomas and I kiss his forehead.

After school Meg had to leave early, Thomas had to work late, Tommy and I were in his room playing. There is a knock at the door, I open it, the person on the other side pushes me to the ground, it is Marcus.
"I heard I have a new grandson" Marcus says holding his belt.
"Stay away from him" I scream. Tommy walks out of his room.
"Tommy, run back into your room and lock the door now" I scream. Marcus starts to beat me until I can't move, I'm weak. He then kicks open Tommy's room door and grabs him. He puts him a few yards in front of me and hits him.
"Please stop" Tommy cries, Marcus gives Tommy another crack of the belt.
"Mommy, please make him stop" Tommy cries. I find strength some were inside me and run to Tommy. I push him against the wall and shield him with my body.
"Mommy make him stop" Tommy continues to cry. Then Marcus grabs me by my hair and yanks me away from Tommy. I jump on Marcus, he stumbles backward, then falls on me. He gets up and grabs Tommy then takes off running out the door. I manage to get up and run outside.
"Tommy" I scream. Then Tommy starts to hit Marcus, as I run I fall and try to get back up, then Tommy bits Marcus. Marcus screams in pain then throws Tommy to the ground. I can see that Marcus is bleeding. I run to Tommy and rap him in my arms, I see he has blood on his mouth from Marcus. He is crying.
"Mommy my hand, it hurts" he says. People are now starting to run to where we are. I get up and start limp to the infirmary, then four and Tris come running around the corner. Four carries Tommy, Tris and someone else help me.

The doctors won't let me Tommy, I hurt my ankle so I had to get a cast. Then Thomas walks in and hugs me.
"Is Tommy okay?" I ask.
"Yes, his arm is broken though" Thomas says.
"I need to see him" I say.
"We can go see him now" he says and we walk to where Tommy is, I can walk with my cast. When we get in the room Tommy has a black cast on his arm.
"Tommy I'm so sorry" I say.
"Mommy it is not your fault" Tommy says.
"I'm so sorry" I say. After the doctor tells us we can go home Tommy gets in the bath. He gets in the bed and Thomas reads to him until he falls asleep.

Marcus is holding a belt and starts to hit me then he starts to hit Thomas then he moves to Tommy.

I gasp, it was just a dream. Thomas sets up.
"It happened again" I say. He raps me in his arms.
"You didn't scream this time" he says. After my heart slows down I fall asleep.

I hear screaming, Thomas and I jump up and run to Tommy's room. Thomas and I rap our arms around him. He is crying.
"That man, he was hitting me again" Tommy cries.
"It was just a dream" Thomas says. We pick Tommy up and he lays in the bed with us.
