Ch14
When I wake up my hands are tied above my head, I hang from the ceilings, my feet are also tied together. Then Peter walk forward
"What do you want?" I ask.
"I will not be beat by a stiff" he hisses, then punches me. Payton then steps out of the shadows, they then start to beating me with what ever they can.
"You said you wouldn't hurt her" the man that still wears is mask. Then Payton hits him causing the mask to come off reviling his identity, it's Joey. They continue my beating. Peter then picks up some knives and starts throwing them at me. Only one hit me, it grazed my shoulder, the last one hit the ropes that hang me causing me to fall to the ground.

After what is most likely hours of kicks and hits I hear feet running, then multiple feet. "Run!" Payton says running with Peter and Joey. Thomas runs to me he cuts the ropes with his knife. I hug him with the little strength I have, he wraps his arms round me I notice I have been shaking. Our friends stop at the door, I jump. They then walk away.

After a few minutes he picks me up and caries me to the apartment. I get many questions on what happen I don't answer. He lays next to me, there is a nock at the door, I jump again. I don't want to leave the warmth and protection of his arms but he gets up to get the door. It's a doctor in his late 20s early 30s and Marlene. "This is my friend Chris." Thomas says. Then Chris takes a step I move back some, he stops and Marlene comes to me instead. She looks at my wounds, and does what needs to be done. Chris leaves and Marlene stays.
"Would it be okey if the rest of the gang comes over?" I nod. "Emerald do you know who did this to you?" he asks.
"It was Peter, Payton, and" then I hesitate and quietly say "Joey"
"I promise they will not hurt you ever again." He says.

Our friend quietly nock on the door, yet I still slightly jump. They start conversations I don't join, I make a few comments. the guys go into the kitten and the girls set around me on the bed. "Thank god you're okey," Tris says "Thomas was freaking out. He came running to the table when we finally calmed him down enough to under stand what he was saying, he started saying Peter took you. We all know it was true but we didn't have prof. Peter and Payton were no wear to be found. Then Thomas started a huge search for you. Everyone was looking for you, Max, Tori, and the people from your class." She says. Then the guys come back in. "It's getting late. See you tomorrow" Thomas says. They say bye as the walk out the door, Eric is the only one left, "Emerald work starts the day after tomorrow. And um... thank you."
"For what?" I ask.
"For starters you brought me my little brother back" he says and messes up Thomas' hair, Thomas pushes Eric away and fixes his hair, I smile and laugh. Then Eric walks out laughing.

Thomas lays next to me, I lay my head on his chest, he holds me close, "they will never hurt you ever again. I promise." He kisses the top of my head "I promise" I fall asleep knowing Thomas and our friends will protect me.

I wake up Thomas is not there, but Four, Eric, and Zeke are playing on the Xbox. "What are you doing here? where is Thomas?" I ask.
"Good morning to you too." Zeke says. "He texted us saying to come over." Four says. "I didn't know that was an invitation to play on my Xbox." I say.
"Your Xbox" Zeke says.
I take a step forward "yes my Xbox" then I turn around and go to the bathroom to get dressed.

"Want something to eat or drink?" I ask when I come back out.
"Water." Zeke says. I go to the kitten and grab a muffin and a water then I see a note.

Guys,
Watch Emerald till I get back, I promised they would not hurt her, I intend to keep that promise. Don't let any one hurt her. I owe you one.

I drop the water and muffin I hand Four the letter. "Who took you?" he asks. "What's going on?" Eric asks. Four ignores him "Emerald who was it?" "Peter, Payton, and Joey." I say.
Four turns around and heads for the door
"call the others and tell them to come here every one stay with Emerald." He says.
"Where are you going?" I ask.
"Peter doesn't play fair." He says. "I'm coming" I say walking forward. "No you stay here." He says in his instructor Four voice.
"But-" I start but Four cuts me off. "Peter will use you to get to Thomas first. And if something were to happen to you he would probably hate me forever. So please stay here." Then Eric puts his hand on my shoulder, and Four walks out.
"What's going on?" Zeke asks. I hand him and Eric the letter, when they finish reading they text our friends to come over.
