When I wake up Thomas is still sleeping, I get up and shower. I now keep a few clothes in the apartment, I see he is still sleeping, I put on the necklace and grab a cup of water then spill it on him,and start making eggs. As I'm cleaning the pan hands grab me and swing me around. I turn and face Thomas. He already got dressed. "You're wearing your necklace." He smiles. "Well isn't that the reason you gave it to me?" "That's only one." I smile. We walk to the training room hand in hand. "Oh don't forget you have a doctors appointment after training. See you later." He kisses his hand and puts it on my check I do the same.

I walk up to Payton "how did it go?" I ask. Her face brightens as she tells me. "Emerald," Six says "how did last night go?" I tell her and show her the knife. "He really likes you. That knife means so much to him. That knife saved his life. He wouldn't be seen with out it." Six says. This knife saved his life.

Liz and I step into the ring. She throughs a punch, I block it. I punch her in the shoulder then nock her off her feet. She grabs my foot and trips me, she gets on top of me and takes out a blade. She puts it to my throat, "a stiff will never beat me." I then grab Thomas' knife, I'm not going to use it on her, I get on top of her and grab the knife out of her hand. She jumps on me I through the knife I see I stick in the wall. I close up Thomas' knife and punch her in the face. She gets up and kicks me in the ribs. I take her feet from under her. I get on top of her she punches me in the face. I grab her wrist and pin her down. "Okay stop" she pleads I get off her and she punches me, my lip is busted I can taste the blood. I just walk out the ring.

In the end the names that are circled are Brett, Dalton,Payton , Tyler, and Emerald. All the fights are done before lunch. I go to Thomas' apartment, I have a bad pain in my side and in my ankle. I lift my shirt and see my whole right side of my torso is black and blue. Thomas comes in, I pull my shirt down, "hey how'd the fights go?"
"I won." We sit down on his bed, I wince in pain. "What happened?' He asks.
"I'm fine."
"Emerald, I can tell when you're lying." I show him my side. He does something and it starts to hurt less.
We walk to the doctor, I don't tell him about my ankle. When we get there the doctor says its healing well. And I can get the stitches out in a week and a half. When we get back to his apartment he says, "would it be okay if you sleep in the dorms tonight?"
"Okay, why?"
"Um..." then there's a nock on the door. I open it to see Four, Eric, and Uriah, "we need to talk to Thomas." Four says. "Tris is in our apartment if you want." I head towards Tris'. What is going on?

At 8 I walk into the dormitory, everone stares, I go to my bed. After a little while, I fall asleep.

Thomas and I walk into the training room late. Eric drags me to the chasm and tells me to hang. Thomas goes in my place. Tris stands behind me just like the other day. Then Thomas falls I turn to cry into Tris. Waiting to hear the most beautiful voice ask me why I'm crying. But it never comes. I look over the side, I see Thomas' body shredded and blood everywhere.

I jump awake, it was only a dream. I lay back down shaking, "are you okay?" I turn and see Payton sitting up in her bed. "Yeah, I'm fine." I wrap my hand around the knife, and fall back asleep.

I wake up to someone pouring water on me. Before I can say anything Four and Thomas starts to beat pots and pans. "Meet us at the train tracks in 10 mins or be factionless!" Four yells.

I walk up to Thomas, he bursts out laughing. "Revenge is a dish best served with ice cold water." He says through laughter. I try to look mad at him, but he does that goofy smile, and I smile. "It's really hard to stay mad at you."
"It's hard to stay mad at a person with this much awesomeness." He replies. I change into dry clothes and throw my wet hair into a messy bun. When I get to the train tracks I punch Thomas in the arm. "Marlene you owe me, five bucks." Uriah says.
"What?" I ask confused.
"We made a bet that Thomas wouldn't really pour water on you." I turn to Thomas. Then I hear the train. "Your chariot awaits my lady." Thomas says in my ear.

After we jump on, Eric starts to explain what we're doing in the middle of the night. "We're playing paintball. Thomas and I will be team captains. We will pick transfers first, then dauntless born, and last instructors." Thomas chose to get off first so Eric gets first pick.
"Payton," Eric says.
"Emerald," Thomas picks.
"Liz."
"Bea."
"Chelsea."
"Courtney."
"Tyler."
"Harry."
"Dolton."
"Brett."

Then the dauntless born are chosen. Now there's Four, Tris, and the dauntless born instructors; Uriah and Marlene. Tris and Four are on our team. We jump off and there are people arguing. I look over my shoulder and see Tris and Four climbing the ferris wheel. "They do that everytime we come here," Thomas says. When Tris and Four come down they say that their flag is at the pier.

Half the team stays with Four and Tris to watch the flag. And the other half will go after the flag. The team insisted that Thomas and I will get the flag off the pier, while they cover us.

Thomas and I run towards the pier. The other team is dropping like flies. We run on the pier, Thomas ahead of me. I hear a paint gun go off and Thomas goes down, then I see Eric, I shoot him and grab the flag. I run into Thomas' arms. We run where everyone else are, then they stand in front of us. "Get them!" Someone yells. And they start shooting at Thomas and I, I jump behind Thomas. When they finally run out of paint Thomas is completely covered in pain, I only have a few splatters. "Give me a hug." Thomas says turning around. I run away from him. He grabs me from behind the turns me around. "You're cute when you're mad." I smile. He then touches my nose and says "boop" I hug him getting pain on me.

As I run to get on the train I step on my ankle wrong, pain shoots throughout my body. Thomas pulls me up. I lay my head on his shoulder. When we jump off, pain goes through me. I take a step and fall wincing in pain. "Are you okay?" Thomas asks. I get up and try to take another step. I cant, Thomas picks me up carrying me to his apartment.

He plays doctor, he won't even let me go get my own water. He lays next to me. And we fall asleep with arms wrapped around each other.
