Chapter 24 - The Hardest Part Of This Is Leaving You

A/N: Sorry, there were a few changes. I was having quite a hard time trying to write part three since this is it then Infinite Realms is officially done, so I can focus on my other books.

Previously:
- The First Author and James created a bargain
- James won the bargain
- The prize was that (Y/N) and Newt would be allowed to go back
- Neither one will die or losing their minds
- The First Author will place everything back the way it was supposed to be
- They'll send Newt, (Y/N), John, and Angela back in the realm where they belong
- Angela won't die but she'll forget about the Realm of Stories
- Thomas and Catherine will also forget about (Y/N) and Angela

Chapter 24 - The Hardest Part Of This Is Leaving You

Newt and (Y/N) were surprised to be back in the place where they reunited. They were standing in front of a fountain with the First Author right in between them.

"We're back?" (Y/N) looked around.

"Not really. To those who need to drink from the Fountain of Knowledge, I make it look like a park or anything really so that they won't know where it's located. Well, even if they knew, they wouldn't be able to get there. With the exception of one," they said under their breath. "Doesn't make any difference, all you need to do is to drink the water from this fountain."

Both Newt and (Y/N) looked at the water and saw that it was different from what they saw earlier. The water from the fountain in the real world was dark due to the flooring of the fountain. But here, it was light blue. It even looked like it was sparkling.

Two golden goblets appeared in the hands of the First Author. They offered it to the both of them, who scooped up water to drink up. Newt and (Y/N) stared first at the water in the goblet then at each other. Both seem hesitant and scared to take a sip.

"What's wrong?" The First Author asked, noticing the look on their faces. "It's not poisoned. James an every other Author has drank this water."

"What will happen when we drink it?" Newt asked.

"Didn't you listen to anything James and I said?" they rolled their eyes.

"I just wanted to be certain."

"Anyone who drink from the Fountain of Knowledge won't be affected by my curse."

"The one that makes people lose their minds? That was all you?"

"Yes it was," they seemed smug about it, ignoring the furious look on Newt's face.

"I'm sorry but I still have no idea what's going on," (Y/N) said. "I mean, I get the deal but what's with the curse? What's it doing to Angela?"

Newt didn't realize how out of the loop (Y/N) was. While he was trying so hard to get to her, she was just in the asylum. Then when she saw Newt again, there wasn't any chance to explain everything to her. (Y/N) was taking in every information she can, trying to understand what was going on.

"My curse," they smiled maliciously, "I created it in order not to create chaos in this world and to keep the secret of the infinite realms. If I didn't do it, people with dying realms or dying worlds would try to evacuate to other realms. Realms that they don't even know a thing about. If people know about the infinite realms then they might leave their own realms for greed."
