Nova's POV.
The next morning comes and I'm helping Mercedes get a warm bath ready for Ofelia as we dump buckets of hot water in a porcelain tub. As I finish filling the tub and enter the room I see Carmen seems to be rather happy as she sits in her wheelchair. "What got you so happy" I ask Carmen as Ofelia came into the room with a robe on. "You have to see the dresses that the captain has gotten Ofelia and I." Carmen said excitedly. "Ofelia your father is giving a dinner party tonight. Look what he got you." She said as she held up a pretty green silky dress with a ivory tulle and matching shoes. (Top Image) Ofelia studies the dress as if it were a strange artifact rather than something she might wear. "It is lovely" I say as I put my hand on Ofelia's shoulder as she looks at me. "And look we will match tonight" as Carmen gestured to a manikin with a dress on it that had a swollen belly.
Just imagine the belly area on this dress a little more rounded.

Mercedes enters with a breakfast tray and said what she wouldn't have given to have a dress as fine as this when she was little. As she looked at Ofelia's and Carmen dresses. Ofelia made a effort to smile. "Yes they are very pretty." Ofelia said trying to sound cheerful but I am not fooled. "Go on now. Take your bath." Carmen said as I lead her into the bathroom to help her take her bath. Once the door is closed I asked Ofelia where she hid the book the faun gave her. "Right here" she said as she ran to the side wall and pulled out the book and sack from behind an old radiator. We sat on the side of the tub and looked in the book. At first the page is blank but then a wondrous image starts to take place.

Ofelia and a large fig tree. Squatting at the bottom of the tree is a massive toad. Than a knock startled us. "Ofelia" Carmen's voice calls. "Hurry up. I want to see this dress on you. I want you to look beautiful for the captain." When she mentioned about the captain again I grow stiff. God if only she new about the captain. But that is not why I am here I think to myself as I look to Ofelia, examining her right shoulder exactly where the faun said the birthmark of a crescent moon would be. "You'll look like a princess." Carmen voiced through the door.

A Princess Ofelia mumbled to herself as she smiles. Finally realizing that she really is Princess Moanna.
