an ode to you: a slam poem
you,
all of you,
you were the one who broke my heart first,
you were the one who played me like a game,
you were the one that fed me malicious lies,
you were the one who was a poison,
I should have known better,
but my kind heart was the one who gave you all chances,
you were the one that blamed everything on me,
you were the one who accused me of never being there for you,
you were the one who told me to go to hell,
maybe I deserved it,
but I did not deserve all the pain that everyone of you put onto me,
I was shattered already,
but every last one of you turned me to dust,
you were the one that talked behind my back,
you were the one who almost raped me,
you were the one who bullied me,
I did not deserve all of this pain,
and because of all of you,
I am damaged,
far from repair,
and if I ever get the chance to look any of you in the face again,
my words will become knives.
and then you will realize,
how much you've fucked me up.
