Fury Of The Sun

"Sunshine," Hemlock called in the sweetest voice she could manage. "I think you should calm down."

Cecelia stopped her pacing, turning her eyes to show the blazing fire in them. Pure rage that made Hemlock glad that she was not the one to anger her. Even now, she shifted uncomfortably upon seeing it.

"Calm down?" She took a shaky breath, blue eyes twitching. "Calm down? No! You should've heard the way they were talking about you and I am not going to let it stand! Where's my sword?"

Cecelia began to tear the room apart in search of her weapon. Hemlock silently thanked whoever gave her the luck that all the swords and sharp objects were not in the room. "Sunshine-!" She attempted again but was cut off.

"Kept talking crap about how you're just a creepy, heartless, toxic girl who has no idea what she's doing." Cecelia threw chairs and drawers away like it was nothing. Hemlock flinched upon hearing it but kept her composure. "They should know better. You talk crap, you get smacked, that's what Papa used to say."

Cecelia finally gave up her search but cracked her knuckles. "Papa didn't raise no wimp, I'm not a general's daughter for nothing. If I don't have my swords, I'll just have to teach them a lesson the old fashioned way: With my fists!"

She moved towards the door and Hemlock finally had to physically interfere, grabbing her arms and slowed her down. "Cecelia, Sunshine!" Hemlock grunted, pulling her arms back. "As much as your support is appreciated, I'd rather you not get into a fight."

"Oh, this isn't a fight, it's a slaughter!" Cecelia growled under her breath.

Hemlock always forgot how Cecelia, the normally sweet and gentle girl, was also made up of CannibalCrab, not only a general but a fierce guard dog, and Tanith, who spent a good amount of her life in war and has killed a man to protect KrakenKid. Truthfully, she rarely got so wrathful and every time she did, Hemlock was caught off guard.

Hemlock took a slow breath. "It's not worth it. I don't want to see you get hurt." Cecelia opened her mouth to protest but she was beaten to the punch. "I know you are perfectly capable of fighting but you can't block every hit. Just stay with me."

Cecelia hesitated for a moment, her muscles relaxing, but still had conflict in her eyes. Hemlock quickly took action and pulled her close, resting her head on her shoulder. "Stay." Her words were too firm to be a plead, and yet too soft to be a commandment, Hemlock has no idea which it was. Both perhaps, Cecelia tended to bring out her vulnerability.

Cecelia finally gave in, sighing as she embraced her girlfriend. "Fine." She whispered softly. "But if I hear anything else from them, I will lose it."

"I'll keep that in mind." Hemlock chuckled softly.

Mother Hen

Lord Fall laughed as August struggled against his hold. "Did you really think a petty and weak thing like yourself could beat me? I'm royalty, Peasant. Your rebellion might be strong but you alone could never hope to beat me."

August glared at him. "You'll pay for what you've done!"

"Oh will I?" Lord Fall tapped his chin with fake wonder. "Too bad you won't be around to see it. I'm afraid that this will be the last of you. You see-"
