Hadal Zone Chapter Guide: Chapters 1-36

Okay so since Sea Serpent is almost done besides the Epilogue and probably a Q&A, I'm all geared up for the next book, which I've been planning for at least six months and I'm VERY excited for, so I wanted to post a Chapter Guide for it!

Here's a quick summary of the book:
Summary: "You don't need to worry, you can trust me. You can always trust me."

River has lived a pretty abnormal life to begin with, but now is pushed out of their usual bubble.

With old friends off in various places, River ends up making new ones and getting pulled in all sorts of adventures that end rather poorly. Adventures that sometimes pull them apart just to bring them back, closer than ever. Adventures that deal with ghosts, storms, and into finding things they don't understand.

But this isn't even the tip of the iceberg. A mysterious man keeps visiting River, telling them to call him 'C' or 'Catalyst'. He whispers praise, promise of power and promptings. River knows there's something wrong with him but it's hard to resist what he offers.

"I'm just like you." Catalyst tells River. "I can make you stronger. I can teach you things that nobody else can. All I need from you is your cooperation."

And how can an offer like that go untouched?

River learns of secrets hidden deep where nobody wanted them to be found, learns new things, and starts to grow to realize that not everything is as it seems, and wonders if Catalyst is the only one who doesn't lie to them. They're not the only one, their friends meet somebody who knows a lot more than he's letting on and they all start to see something more sinister going on.

Lies and history thought forgotten, brought to the light.
Betrayal and torture beating down on those who get in the way.
Ghosts and a secret organization called 'Dissolve' who spring up from the darkness.

River is getting in too deep, and it's getting awfully hard to breath...

There's no light in the eternal darkness of the Hadal Zone.

Chapter 1- Dark Matter
Summary: Three different journal entries describe three different situations, though all connected.

Chapter 2- Sirius A
Summary: With their parents out for a few days, River is left in the city of Atlantis, under the guard of Phoebe.

Chapter 3- Centaurus
Summary: River continues to make friends in the city, though it happens in unusual ways.

Chapter 4- Red Giant
Summary: Quickly becoming bored, Catalyst's interest in River increases and he abandons his previous project. However, the Boss is warned of his behavior.

Chapter 5- Milky Way
Summary: Returning home, River's new friends come with them to have fun, but River can't shake the feeling of being watched.

Chapter 6- Stargazing
Summary: Just watching begins to bore Catalyst, and he plans to step it up. He get a warning from a friend to watch his step.

Chapter 7- Red Storm
Summary: River meets a strange man, who offers them a tempting deal. The meeting doesn't go unnoticed.

Chapter 8- Astrophile
Summary: The leader has a few concerns about Catalyst's new obsession. Catalyst is approached by someone he hasn't heard from in a while.

Chapter 9- Astroid
Summary: A regular camping trip turns sour when the gang attacked by something beyond this realm.

Chapter 10- Astrology
Summary: After the incident, River realizes they need to know how to defend themselves and others. River accepts the deal and the training begins, though his ways are unorthodox.
