So I made a new AU.

Gonna keep the description of it in the One Shot I'm making for it and just tell you it takes place in the same timeline as the cannon one, though is before Joe is revealed to be alive, but after the fight in the Overworld.

Cody really wished that the library sorted out everything they had.

Recently, one of the new librarian workers came across a huge archive of ancient Atlantean documents. Way back when Poseidon was still ruling, and Cody was finding passages of the first people to immigrate into Atlantis.

All of this, thousands and thousand of scrolls, legal documents and personal journals of history, and none of it was sorted.

Guess who had to help sort it? Cody did. Of course he did, and with the look Rasmus was giving him after going through over a hundred himself, he had no choice. Life was slow, he had nothing better to do.

So Cody flipped through endless passages, sorting out what type of document it was and a brief summary of it. He wasn't allowed to just read a page and call it good either, he was supposed to read at least 3/4's of it before moving on. Rasmus yelled and made him redo his first few reports after finding he forgot important details because he only read the first few pages.

It was days like these that made him wish he wasn't king.

Even so, he found himself reading through passage after passage. At that moment, it was the personal journal of Councilor Icarus. Icarus probably wasn't a bad dude but Sweet Poseidon why did he write so much?

His personal journal was the biggest book there, and he was stuck reading it.

Passage Number 46- March 6th
Poseidon has proposed a new draft of the expansion of the market place. Heather and Salazar have both expressed high regard for the plan, no doubt due to their family heritage of blacksmiths and business men, however the cost makes others skeptical.

Now I do believe Poseidon only wishes the best for Atlantis- it is his after all- but he often forgets that our budget is not boundless, and that certain restrictions must be made.

Even so, I have decided to side with him, the market place could bring in new job opportunities for the public, both in the making and after, and that means profits for all.

Cody groaned, flipping to the next page after Icarus rambled in about the market place's planned changes. Why does he talk so much? Please, Icarus, if you're going to talk, make it interesting at least!

Cody spent hours pouring over the passages and finding most were boring, other than one mentioning a dog that attacked him, which Cody got a good chuckle out of.

Late at night, he was gonna call it and turn in when a word caught his eyes, and then the whole passage made him double take.

Passage Number 98- April 5
A few days after the information has been processed and discussed among the council, we have come to a decision.

The people of Atlantis will not learn of the affair, nor of the heir being carried. The child will be born, and grow up with the mother, never even meeting Poseidon.

The mother's hospital bills will be payed for, but any more might arise suspicion.

It is for the best, for all of us.

And we will move on like it never even happened.

Cody's heart stopped and twisted. He couldn't stop reading words like Affair, heir and most of all, Poseidon.
