Chapter 19

Yoongi

We walked back to the house that I lived in after spending a few hours at the weird forest and I have managed to sleep for a few hours without anyone interrupting until she woke me up, brushing my hair to the side so that the sunlight would shine in my eyes. Why did she even do that for??

After waking me up, she even asked me a question that I never want to answer anyone ever again. Anything about him, I would refuse to answer.

"Who is DongWoo to you??" She asked and I was taken aback. She knows about Kwon DongWoo and it is a thing that I never told anyone about, it is a taboo thing to talk about him and I have never mentioned anything about him since a long time ago.

"He's someone important to you right??"

"Who told you that??" I asked and she looked down at the floor. Only my family knows about DongWoo but they don't know how I knew him and what happened to him.

"It doesn't matter, I'm just curious." She answered. "Ignore what I just said, we have to get back before it is too late for dinner."

She went straight to her room once she entered the house after greeting my parents, she seems pretty upset after what happened earlier. I didn't tell her about DongWoo, my first friend.

YoonJi came through the door a second later looking for HeeRa and I just pointed to the door, telling her that she was inside the room. YoonJi opened the door and went inside, closing the door as well. I laid down on my bed about to close my eyes again when I got a few messages from the people on school, Seokjin hyung was asking if I could bring him back some souvenirs from Daegu and share it with the others.

Can't he buy it himself?? Isn't he like the son of the principal??

I threw the phone on my bed and I laid down once again preparing to sleep when the sound of my ringtone made me open my eyes, reach for that stupid phone and swiped right to answer the call. I was lazy so I decided to put the phone on speaker mode and continued to lay down on my bed. It was SangHyuk, Han HeeRa's older brother by 1 year.

"Yoongi hyung?? You're there??"

"Then how did I even answer your call if I'm not around??" I replied.

He is seriously asking for trouble...

"Right." He paused for a short moment. "Is HeeRa there?? She hasn't been picking up my calls, I have been trying to reach her like forever."

"She is at home though," I told him. "How many times did you call her??"

"But the navigation system on her phone stated that she is in the woods, did she went to the woods this morning??"

We did go to the forest in the morning with me sleeping on a rock but there wasn't anything that went missing, HeeRa seemed calm even when we came down from the mountains and we even took the same bus home but the thing is that she didn't use her phone the whole time.

"I will get back to you later." I came out of my room and I left the apartment, going back to the same bus stop to go to the mountains to search for her phone. The phone might still be that place since no one else goes there normally except for avid hikers and of course, the locals staying there, other than that, it is rather isolated for a forest in the countryside.

Han HeeRa, why are you always that clumsy??

I felt a hand tap on my shoulder and I opened one eye, I was lying on the bed and YoonJi was next to me using her laptop while wrapping a blanket around her body as she had the air conditioner switched on.

"Aren't you hungry?? It is already 7 pm and you have been sleeping like a pig."

7 pm?? It thought that it was just 2 pm?? I got up from the bed half asleep and looked at the wall clock while rubbing one eye, it was 7.13 pm.

I groaned. "Why didn't you wake me up??"

"I was watching my dramas and I thought that you would wake up eventually." She replied. "So I had to wake you up myself."

"At least do that earlier, I only planned to nap an hour." I tidied my hair while trying to reach my phone but there wasn't any phone, there was nothing on the bedside table that looks like my phone. I searched on the bed that I was sleeping on and I begged YoonJi to get her butt off the bed for a short moment so that I can search for my phone.

"What are you looking for??" She asked out of curiosity.

"My phone. Have you seen it before?? I remembered that I placed it right here before laying down."

"You did??" I nodded. "But I haven't seen your phone for the past 5 hours, have you misplaced it by chance??"

I had my hand on the sides of my head. "That can't happen, I just had it for a year. I can't lose it or my parents are going to scold me for losing such a valuable item." I know that I'm clumsy and lose things very often, I have never lost my phone and would always have it by my side even when I wasn't using it. I made sure to treat it as a treasure and never lose sight of it.

"Where is the last place that you have seen your phone at??"

I remembered that I had my phone with me when I was outside with Min Yoongi, I even was on my phone while we were on the bus to the weird forest and I placed it in my pocket when I was forced to climb that summit with him. I'm sure that I lost my phone right at that moment. I wore my jacket and asked for YoonJi for a torchlight to find that freaking phone of mine.

"HeeRa, it's freaking 7.21 pm. The last bus is at 9.00 pm, can you even make it home??"

"I don't know but can you help me call a taxi service once I have found my phone??" I pleaded. "I can't lose my phone, really. It is one of my most important devices and I really need it."

"Fine, but I can't ensure that it will work." She warned me beforehand. "I will make sure to call for a taxi service if you are not back home by 9 pm."

"Thanks..." I hugged her.

"What are friends for?? They are there to help you no matter what."
