Chapter 2

Hee Ra

I pasted one piece of paper on the notice board on each side of the school entrance.

"This should work, right?" I pasted the last one at the cafeteria notice board.

I heeded Mrs. Cha's advice and decided to hire a tutor so I decided to paste a poster to let the school know that I am in need of a tutor. There is still a lot of the posters in my hand, it would be a waste if I throw all of this in the dustbin. Why don't I paste a few more?? Yea, I should do that.

I ran off to the other places to paste the posters.

"Yah!! What are you doing, Hee Ra?" Ji Na put her hand over my shoulder.

I turned around. She looks prettier than usual. Where is she going anyways??

"Eo, just pasting posters. Where are you going wearing like that?"

"I got a date today."

"With who?" I continued pasting posters.

Today is Wednesday which is also a free day in the school which means that we can study on our own and teachers take a break on this day.

"Kim NamJoon." That guy that hangs out with Yoongi during meal time? He is a good catch.

"That hot guy that reads books the whole time?"

"Mhm.."

"You're lucky, girl. Have fun. What time are you guys going?"

"After school. I don't want to change clothes that much. I'll help you. How many more do you need to paste?"

I hand her a few. "Just a few more."

The both of us went to all the places to paste the posters. We were tired of running here and there, so Ji Na bought me a drink to quench my thirst.

"Thanks."

I went back to the dorm and slept till noon where there would be training again. There is a competition coming up after the exams. I have to work extra hard as I am the best player in the whole basketball team.

12 pm

I was awakened by the annoying message notifications. Who the hell sends that much messages?? I turned on my phone.

It read 12.01 pm. I unlocked my phone by entering my password. There were 5 messages from a number that I don't know.

11.50pm

Hi, I am Kwon Dongwoo. I have read your poster saying that you needed someone to tutor you.

That's so fast, who is this person anyway? How did he get my number? Oh ya, I posted that poster with my phone number.

So I have decided to help you. I am a senior.

So he is a senior?

Are you asleep? 

I must be very tired to able to ignore the annoying notifications. I texted him back.

Annyeonghaseyo, DongWoo sunbaenim. Mind if you are free now as I have training now and em I would not be free until night. So can you meet me at the Basketball court now?

Of course, I will be wearing a black sweater with a black jacket. See you later.

What kind of fashion is that? All black, I thought to myself. Well, who cares about fashion when he is only my tutor and nothing else.

I opened my closet and took out my jersey. This is what I wear for my training. I have tons of training wear as I am an athlete. I changed into my training wear and wore my shoes. I tied my hair neatly into a ponytail. I also refilled my water bottle to its brim. 

I left my dorm after saying goodbye to my other 2 roommates. I am staying in a dorm with 4 girls including me. Other than Ji Na, I also have 2 other roommates but I am not too close to them.

(A/N If you are wondering what the dorm looks like, It is like the girls' dorm that you see in Love 020. Watch the drama if you haven't, it is a good drama.)

I see the others there all warming up and a guy was standing at one side awkwardly. He looks like what he is describing himself. A black sweater and black coat, he is my sunbae in school Kwon DongWoo sunbaenim.

This name doesn't sound familiar to me at all, but who cares? The most important thing is that he agreed to be my tutor for the next 3 months. I walked up to him and lightly tapped his shoulder. He turned around and smiled at me. What a cute smile.

"You must be Han Hee Ra hoobaenim, nice to meet you!" He greeted me with such a cheerful tone.

"Ne... Dongwoo sunbaenim, nice to meet you." I said shyly.

"So about the teaching, where should the venue be?" 

"How about the library? It is quiet there and most importantly there is air-conditioning."

"Ok, the venue would be there. I will be going off now. See you later at the library, 9 pm. Better eat first before coming. We might be studying for a while."

"See you later, sunbaenim." He walked off to what he is supposed to be and I also started training with all the members of the basketball team, well except for one. Min Yoongi is not here yet, what happened to him? 

From what I know, he is never late for his training, never. This is so weird.

"Where is Min Yoongi? Anyone know where he is?"

"He? He is never late, he must have some kind of reason. Ask him when he's here." Our team captain told me.

"Got it." I nodded.

"Is the coach here already?" I heard someone running while talking at the same time. It is Min Yoongi.

"Nope... You aren't that late usually, you overslept?" Minwoo asked him.

"You could say that I stayed up late to do homework."

"So hardworking..."

"Not like a certain someone in our team." Is he saying about me again?

"Min Yoongi, do you have to do this to me all the time? Not everyone is as smart as you."

"Then work hard. I bet you can't excel in both sports and studies. I'm sure that you would fail the upcoming exam."

"Don't say Hee Ra like that, even though her grades are like that, she tries very hard." Minwoo defended me.

"That's why I hired a private tutor to help me improve. I will not drop to the worst class. Just watch."

"Sure, I will watch you fail your exams as usual."

We looked each other in the eye and shouted. "Bring it on!!"
