Chapter 39

Yoongi

I started out at the picturesque scenery in front of me and I took in a deep breath, enjoying the sight that I am seeing right now. I am the type of person to climb mountains and spend hours just staring at the scenery and doing nothing else, that is the only outdoor activity that I will ever do apart from staying at home.

Going on top of the summit of mountains is refreshing, I get to enjoy the scenery that is in front of me that rarely changes and the air up here is clean as well, I can't stand the polluted air that we have below the mountains due to the cars and the cigarettes that people smoke for no particular reason, it is not like it is going to increase their lifespan, it is making them die even faster instead.

I heard a groan coming from my right side and I glared at her, when you bring someone along to a beautiful and breathtaking place, there is always that person who doesn't share the same interests and thus doesn't enjoy what I am doing right now.

"What now?" I asked her, I have brought her to the summit once back in Daegu and she was complaining that I brought her all the way there just to take a nap and spend the whole day just staring at the ever-changing scenery. "Do you have something to say about this?"

"Look, I do like the scenery that we are blessed with but aren't we supposed to be on a date?" I know that she is not as intelligent as me and she couldn't quite think that fast like I do but she is getting a little too overboard with this one.

"We are on a date," I told her. "This is just step one of the date and this will be the only thing that we are going to do on today, enjoying the bright sunlight with you for the entire day."

She pointed at the skies. "Are you sure that we will be enjoying that the entire day? It looks like it is going to rain very soon." Isn't it good that it is going to rain? The place will be cooling and we will have a chance to see a rainbow if we are lucky enough.

"Then let it rain, it doesn't matter because we will be able to see a rainbow later."

She held onto my hands and I feel my heartbeat increase rapidly, I hate that she makes my heart race so much for her but I just can't help it. "I don't want to say that it is very boring to stare at the scenery for the next 6 hours but it is indeed very boring, haven't I told you that the last time you dragged me all the way up a mountain in Daegu, you went up there just to take a nap on my lap and I honestly think that we can do more things in those 6 hours."

I sighed. "Then what do you want to do then? Since you don't really like what I had brought you here to go stare at the scenery for 6 hours."

"Anywhere other than what we are doing right now, this is more tiring than pretending that we don't know anything about the birthday surprise that JiNa is throwing for NamJoon." I laughed at her response and she pouted. "What is so funny?"

"You're so cute." I reached forward to pinch her cheeks but I can't do that, my hands just can't seem to do that, they are allergic to such cute things and I'm deeply affected by her cute antics even if it wasn't intentional, whatever she does is cute and adorable to me anyways. I cleared my throat and I glanced over at her hair. "I mean the flower that is in your hair right now." And I took it out for her just like a gentleman.

She looked away and I could see that her cheeks were pink, she is indeed deeply affected by my actions as well. "You have to tell me in advance if you are going to do something like this, I have to prepare my heart for this."

"I thought that you have been ready the moment that you started dating me." I am very surprised at myself for being able to say such mushy things without even batting an eyelash, I must have really been out of my mind but it is a good thing, I am able to express my feelings better and I'm glad that she liked it. "Shall we go now? It is really going to rain if we don't hurry up soon."

"But I haven't even decided where I want to go." She answered as we got down the mountain to go back to human civilization, we were done with being one with nature for now but it was good to stare at the scenes once, in a while, it makes all of my bad thoughts go away in an instant.

"You can take your time thinking of that while I bring you to the second location of our date," I said to her when we were at ground level, walking towards the bus stop that leads us back to Seoul, where we were residing at.

She pointed her index finger at me. "Where are you going to bring me to? It better not be something boring like this or I will rather go back to helping JiNa with her birthday surprise."

"I'm sure that you will be happy to see it, you will know it when you get there. It is the perfect place for you to be at." I let out a mysterious smile as I thought of how happy she would be as soon as she sees them.

I was right when I saw her go silent for the next one minute as soon as she sees the sight in front of her, her mouth slightly open as she stares at everything around her. I decided to bring her to the nearest stadium where a basketball tournament will be held at and her favourite team is competing, it is one of her favourite things and I feel bad at taking it away from her by force back then.

"Min Yoongi, thank you..." She finally spoke when we have taken our seats to watch the tournament, I had purchased tickets and bought snacks as soon for her.

"It is nothing really, it is something that you liked a lot and I thought that it would be good if I brought you here to watch a basketball game." She smiled and gave her a peck on the lips before going back to concentrate on the game, I wished that she had kissed me a little longer and it would turn out to be a makeout session.

The basketball tournament was over in an instant and we walked out of the stadium together, hand in hand as I listened to her talking about how good the players are and how they won against the opponents so easily. I wasn't listening to her but admiring her looks and the way that she is talking made me fall in love with her again. How many times do I even want to fall in love with her?

She placed me in a headlock. "Let's have a basketball game after we go back, shall we? I'm itching for a chance to beat you at basketball for once, I have to get back my revenge."

"Sure thing, I was thinking the same thing," I told her. That was a lie, I don't mind doing anything with you, as long as I am doing it with you. Because you are my world and my everything, Han HeeRa.
