Severus let out an angry sigh as he hurried back to the motionless couple. He looked over at the elf which had strange expressions on it's face. It was as if it had a lot of bottled up emotions and they were all coming out at once.

It looked like it really had something to say but somehow couldn't or forced not to.

Deciding to ignore her strange behavior, he cast a much stronger wind repelling shield around them to help shield them from the fierce storm and crouched to get a better look at the lifeless body.

He swiftly laid Florina's head on his lap and forcefully pressed his fingers deeper on the other side of her neck murmuring an incantation rapidly. It was an ancient trick the healers used to try to measure a pulse. After a few moments of silence, he finally found a very faint pulse but it was slowly fading away.

He turned to the sardonic wizard, "She is still alive but barely."

David sighed in relief but that moment however didn't last as the shield around them disappeared. That left them bare to the freezing nature and they were hit once again with the full force of the icy wind.

"I got it!" David exclaimed getting up and shielding his eyes "Just tend to her."

The potions master started with several reviving spells one after the other exactly as the healers would do to a dying patient but all of them seemed to fail. He was positive that whatever happened to her wasn't from the apparition as he had done it flawlessly.

Whatever happened must have been before that, he thought But she seemed fine when she made us all invisible. It couldn't have been from that either.

He was quickly trying to break down the reason behind her sudden immobility, if he knew the reason then he might be able to fix it.

Suddenly it dawned on him. Unless the reason was using that God forsaken invisibility shield for too long. Whatever it was, it drained her magic, he thought, That has to be—

He was abruptly interrupted by a demonic snarl that startled him.

It came from the house elf whose face transformed into a very nasty almost a devilish like face. It turned to Severus who was wide eyed, "SNAPE HUG HER!" it growled loudly "NOW! SHE IS DYING! SHE WILL DIE IF YOU DON'T HUG HER!"

The creature's voice was so loud that both Severus and David had to shield their ears from bleeding. How can that little innocent creature have such a demonic growl?

The potions master was frozen in place. He was so flustered that instead of obeying the growling elf, he didn't do as it said and just kept staring at it, watching it resume it's odd shifting facial expression.

David, who had to redo the shielding spell for the third time, turned to the stunned wizard, "DIDN'T YOU HEAR WHAT IT SAID YOU GIT!" he roared to the wizard who kept his intense stare on the elf "DO AS IT SAYS! You know what, GET UP YOU COWARD. I will do it!"

The emerald-eyed wizard sat down next to the duo with a thud and snatched Florina's body with force from the petrified wizard. He hugged her as close as his physical body would allow him. After a few moments, Severus managed to croak, "It said for me to —"

The demonic growl escaped the elf's mouth again this time even more louder and desperate, "SNAPE! DIDN'T YOU HEAR WHAT I SAID! GET THAT FILTHY HUMAN AWAY FROM HER! IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO HER, I WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE A LIVING NIGHTMARE YOU HEAR ME!"

David, who was surprisingly more responsive and aware than his counter-part, forcefully shoved Florina away from him and into the arms of the startled wizard. Slowly, Severus snaked his arms around her waist and held her to him weakly.

After a fourth shielding spell, David let out a venomous sigh and pushed Florina even more closer to the reluctant wizard's chest. Severus grimaced and glared at him, "Will you calm Down!" he exclaimed "You are hurting her....and me."

"HOW CAN I BE CALM?" David barked frantic "She is on the verge of death you heartless bastard and you are asking me to be calm."

Severus ignored his outburst and kept his intense gaze on the elf who seemed to be more calmer. After a few moments, he looked down at Florina who started breathing very faintly which was missed by the other fuming wizard.

The potion's master looked up at him "She is breathing again," he whispered slowly. David rested his hand on the small of her back to feel her bated short breaths.

Severus looked over Florina's shoulder to see the elf returning back to its original state. She whirled around to see Florina's immobile body in Severus's arms and screamed.

"Sir, what happen to Miss flora?" she asked tearful trying to hold the witch's hand.

Both Severus and David gave her a shocked look. The emerald-eyed wizard chose to answer, "What do you mean 'what happened to her'? Weren't you the one who told him to hug her?"

"Threatened me to hug her," Severus corrected his eyes never leaving the trembling elf.

The elf's round blue eyes were full of tears and fear as it wore a befuddled expression. "Bubbles so sorry Sirs," she managed to say "Bubbles don't understand what you talking about."

David, out of short temper, held the elf by its rags and lifted her from the ground shaking her, "What are you playing at you stupid elf?! Weren't you the one who called me a filthy human?"

She was shaking under his firm grip and croaked tearfully, "Oh no Sir. Bubbles never say such a rude thing."

"Put her down!" Severus ordered sternly "She is telling the truth. This is truly very difficult to comprehend but I am positive she wasn't doing it out of her own accord."

The angry emerald-eyed wizard looked between both the elf and Severus. He finally sighed loudly and dropped the little elf on the ground. She fell with a thud and whimpered from the pain but scurried beside Florina to hold her hand.

"I will deal with you later," Severus said in a dangerously low voice to the elf once it got closer.

The elf was still whimpering while patting Florin's head brushing her hair with her scrawny fingers. She kept mumbling, "Please wake up Miss. It's all my fault Miss. I should have saved you sooner Miss."

She dropped her head sobbing uncontrollably, "I should have let Rose save your noble blood sooner Florina Woods."
