CHAPTER 37 : A Halloween Adventure*

Hey guys! I hope you like the new cover, took me hours to design it lol. I wanted to show you the main characters of the story, so this was my way of showing it :)
From left to right is Florina, Rose and then at the bottom Bubbles, David and Severus.

Florina's POV:

The end of October finally came and the spirit of festivities has spread in Hogwarts. The teachers were the first ones to reach the great hall to help with the decorations and setting the house tables. 

Severus and me took part in setting the Slytherin table. He was wearing his usual all black and an olive green scarf around his neck. As for me, I was wearing my orange silk robes that hugged me tightly all around and my embroidered black cloak. I also made my hair into a huge up do with tiny orange roses band around my bun, Rose's idea. She was hovering beside me enjoying the Halloween spirit as it was clearly her first Halloween in Hogwarts.

"Enjoying the view," I whispered smiling at her while I was spreading the orange tablecloth on the table with my wand.

"It's just like magic!" she exclaimed in joy as she twirled around spreading her grey fairy dust all over. I was glad that she was enjoying herself for once since she got back to Hogwarts. The festivities were somewhat taking her mind of the recent grim events.

Portrait of Markov – or Markov for short mysteriously vanished two weeks ago. Both Rose and I were extremely puzzled by his sudden disappearance. I for one, felt like his disappearance might be just a sick prank he was pulling on us – since he seemed to be mischievous. However Rose disagrees. She thinks he was kidnapped. I still remember the long discussion that we had on why he disappeared.

"Flo..." Rose was hovering on her seat frowning "even if he was playing a sick joke on us, don't you think he would have showed up by now and yell SURPRISE or something. I am telling you, he was kidnapped."

"But by whom, and why would anyone do that?" I asked puzzled.

"I...I don't know Flo. And honestly no one knows that Markov is with us except for Severus and that old man."

"Dumbledore?" I asked puzzled.

"Yes," she nodded "And both do not want anything to do with that book. In fact, the old man was trying to get rid of it by passing it onto you."

"Alright Ro, let's assume Markov was stolen, don't you think there would be signs of a break-in in my office? No one knows my quarter's password except for me and you. If someone was trying to steal him, they would have definitely broke the door down and trashed this place to find him."

Rose paused deep in thought.

After a few moments, she said slowly, "Unless it wasn't stolen by a human. Let's consider this, the one who stole it doesn't need the quarter's password. And nothing else was stolen from here. They slipped in and out very easily, without being spotted. This kidnap was out of the ordinary so something extraordinary must have done it, don't you think?"

I scrunched up my face, "What do you mean extraordinary Rose? Do you mean like a ghost or something?"

"Yes that's it!" she suddenly exclaimed shooting up from the couch "Florina you are a genius! Markov wasn't kidnapped by a human! He was kidnapped by an entity... I could go as far as to say he was stolen by one of Lucifer's minions."

"One of his first class demons?" I whispered.

"Well yes. Who else could it have been? It must be a demon, no one else knows we have this book except for the ones included in this adventure. We know Augustus went to Lucifer to tell him everything and he must have told Lucifer that we have the book. But... but Lucifer... oh my God!"
