It was the end of June and summer vacations were just a few days away. Harry and his friends went on an insane escapade to persecute whoever was really after the Philosopher's stone until they finally discovered it was Quirrell.

The witch's now friend, Severus Snape, was finally innocent in the eyes of the golden trio. The trio no longer spied or glared at the potions master. They no longer pointed fingers at him or accuse him of stealing the stone.

In fact, Quirrell himself was as "kind" as to tell Harry that it was Severus who was trying to save him in the Quidditch game and not kill him. Sadly however, Harry wasn't entirely convinced with that tale and would usually glare at the potions master anytime he spots him.

Some things just doesn't change.

The year ended with Gryffindor wining the house cup but luckily for the potions master and the history of magic Professor, Florina Woods, Slytherin won the Quidditch cup.

It was just like what Severus told her after the end of the match between Gryffindor and Slytherin, 'we might have lost the battle but we will win the war.'

And they did.

All the students finished their last meals at the great hall and were escorted by their Prefects to the castle's gates and then to the Hogwarts express. Florina was looking at the organized departure of the students from the astronomy tower smiling to herself.

Her best friend was behind her as well fascinated by the scene unfolding right before her eyes.

"You know something Flo," Rose spoke slowly "even though we have a lot of magic and magical creatures back at my homeland, I will never get over the wonders of the Earth and Earth's wizarding world."

The witch chuckled, "Truth be told, I never will either. It's just too magnificent, too perfect. I know I am a witch in a magical world but I will never see it all. I will never witness all the magic that comes with this amazing place."

"Who are you talking to?" a calm voice asked from behind making the two jump.

"David!" Florina exclaimed in surprise.

She was relieved it was a friendly face instead of a stranger. "What... what are you doing here?"

"I was told that you like to frequent the astronomy tower so I thought I would drop by and say farewell before I leave," he beamed at her.

"Oh how sweet, thank you" she smiled back "are you leaving today?"

He nodded coming up to her. Smirking, he said "Oh no no missy, don't try to divert my question. Who were you talking to?"

She chuckled nervously. "That...that was nothing David. I like to speak out loud when I am alone. It's actually quite helpful, it helps me think. There is no need to concern yourself with a crazy woman like me."

He shook his head. "You are as sane as I am and you know it."

Standing beside her, he put his hands on the rails and took a deep breath. "Well then if you are not busy, may I join you?"

"Of course," the witch nodded.

They enjoyed each other's company in total silence. Their silence wasn't uncomfortable at all but rather... serene and peaceful. The fairy, who is always skeptical whenever the tall black haired wizard shows up, felt the same peace and quite like the other two.

For once, Rose wasn't as tense or cynical around David.

After a while of the peaceful silence, the emerald eyed wizard turned to Florina. "Actually I was also looking for you to ask you if... if you want to spend the summer with me at my house."
