It has been two days since the trio's encounter with the ghost and they felt as clueless and hopeless as they once started. No matter how many times they called out to the ghost to reappear, they were only met with dead silence.

The potion's master was getting more and more angrier as the days passed to the point where he was borderline unbearable to be around. Everything seemed to be crumbling apart and more time was going to waste.

Both Severus and Florina decided to stick to their original plan and hike all the way to the Vinson Massif searching for the cave. However that wasn't too fruitful and their only option was to hike back to the cabin.

Originally, it was Florina's idea to return back to the cabin which the potions master heavily disagreed upon. He reminded her of how that cabin almost killed them, twice. But the argument was resolved when they decided to return to it anyways because as Florina pointed out "Where else should we go?"

Florina was trying her best to forget all about her being cursed but it was getting very hard not to. She couldn't find a single minute to talk to Rose about the awaited eternal misery. She and the Potions master spent more than a day on their hike and back. Once they returned, they were immediately sucked in with planning. It was something Florina usually disagrees upon but their options were extremely limited.

However, she did indeed get a few moments alone with Rose but it was mostly her fairy reassuring her that everything will be fine. Florina was surprised at how this phrase is usually thrown out casually in such situations and it mostly amounts to "not everything being fine."

But to ease both their concerns and fears, the terrified witch dropped that subject altogether by a simple hug to her best friend.

The friendly elf tried to help with the witch's situation as much as possible. Mostly, it was her acting goofy and silly which for a few moments, made the witch forget her awaited fate. But once the miserable memory of her getting brandished by the burning mark returns, sadness would return with it.

The mark didn't hurt Florina as much as the time she first got it but the scarring was still very prominent. Her fairy would usually enunciate a few simple healing charms on it to lessen its stinging effect yet she possessed no charm for erasing the dreadful memory. Or better, erasing the curse all together.

Her potion's master caught the witch crying one night when they were out searching for the cave. It was gloomy inaudible tears but he could still tell she wept whenever he wasn't looking. To him however, Florina was totally fine. She wasn't brandished or marked as far as he can tell. To him, she will return back to Hogwarts the same whole woman she was when she left.

Little did he know it was the furthest from the truth. He didn't hear the fairy's howls to the ghost for cursing her best friend. He didn't see her sweet fairy transform into a terrifying demon to avenge her carrier. Neither did the other wizard, whom didn't seem to care as much for the entire mission as the other two did.

It was Tuesday morning and the final day of retrieving the book. The trio hurdled around the tiny table in the living room brainstorming, which in of itself, took hours before any brainstorming began.

Mostly it was consisted of the wizards bickering among themselves and the emerald-eyed wizard blaming the other for the ghost's disappearance.

"Everyone please!" the witch exclaimed standing up, too tired of their childish argument "Quarreling amongst ourselves will never get us anywhere. Today is our final chance to do anything productive. So I suggest you stop fighting and start solving" she pointed to the glaring wizards "Both of you."

For a few moment, silence descended upon the trio. The angry witch looked from one wizard to the other, challenging them to disagree, but they didn't. They just kept their sharp glares on each other.
