Florina's POV:

As we were eating, Rose broke the silence "Desire," she whispered.

"Excuse me?" I turned to her half asleep from exhaustion.

Sighing, she explained slowly "Florina, I saw the word Erised engraved on top of that magical mirror. Erised is literally the opposite of desire. That mirror is called the mirror of desire. That's why Harry didn't see Patrick and saw his parents instead, he saw his most desperate desire of his heart which is to meet his parents," she paused at my gaping expression "Does that make sense?"

"Yes, I think" I nodded to myself "And that's why I see Patrick every time laughing and smiling at me because deep down that's what I desire to have the most."

Rose shook her head impatiently "No Flo, it's not just that. It means it's just a desire, a fantasy. That's not the real—"

I cut her off quickly beginning to understand "And your point being?"

"My point is, its dangerous to dwell on our fantasies and forget our reality my dear."

"Wasn't it you who introduced me to that room in the first place" I pointed out "Remember, you said you felt "good vibes" coming out of it" I said anger rising within me.

"I know Flo and I am so sorry, I didn't know what it was. As a Fairy I only feel the good and the bad and I know Patrick is good for you but—"

"So let it him be good for me," I shot hotly as I roughly shoved the plate away from me and stormed to my bedroom.

**************

The vacations were almost over as Hogwarts was preparing itself for its cheerful students. Everyone was happy and cheerful, except for me.

In the past few weeks, I suddenly grew into an anti-social depressed human being who only cared for one thing, seeing her lover again. The urge to feel him, to hold him, to kiss him, was too great that it nearly drove me insane just thinking about it.

Rose was worried about me at that point, I couldn't function as a normal human anymore. I couldn't differentiate between the right and the wrong. I was only fuelled by one thing, desire. Despite Rose's endless attempts to stop me from visiting the mirror, I wouldn't oblige and slip by every day.

But today was a different case as I went to the room and discovered that the mirror was...

"...GONE" I screamed as I ran around the room trying to search for it. I stopped and glared at Rose who was equally shocked but didn't say a word.

"WHAT DID YOU DO?" I bellowed charging at her.

She threw her hands in the air in defense "I didn't do anything I swear."

"AND I AM SUPPOSED TO BELIEVE THAT!" I yelled still searching around for it even looking behind the piled chairs hoping it might have been moved there.

"Looking for something," came a cold and velvety voice that startled us both.

I turned slowly knowing exactly to whom it belonged to, "Where is it?" I asked through gritted teeth.

Severus raised a brow "It's been moved today morning...to a more...private location. A location where depressed lonely souls wouldn't be able to get to it."

"No," I whispered as I collapsed on the floor as sadness consumed me.

He looked down at me indifferently and turned towards the door.

"WAIT...umm...please," I said quickly as I ran up to him and he just cocked a brow at me.

"Do you know where it is?" I asked almost desperately.
