I quickly ran downstairs and grabbed a knife out of the kitchen. I knew it wouldn't do much when it came down to dealing some damage, but I was hoping it would be a good enough distraction if I were to lodge it in someone's shoulder. I forced myself to remain calm enough to transport myself to hell. After a few deep breaths, I closed my eyes and snapped my fingers.

When I opened my eyes, I paled and grit my teeth at the sight before me. Winnie was unconscious, bloody, and bound to a chair by his wrists and ankles with a chain wrapping around his midsection, seated on top of a platform surrounded by the Big Three. Domi was nowhere to be found.

Thorn tightened the chains around Winnie's wrists, causing him to wince in his unconscious state. Belladonna was sharpening the ritual knife as Dexter jumped down and began speaking to other demons. Natasha and Baxter stood at the bottom of the platform beside Dexter, scanning the area.

I gripped the knife tighter and slowly began to make my way around to the back of the platform. Natasha whipped her head in my direction and smiled. Before I could blink, someone was at my side.

Domi's POV

I warily looked through the bars of my cell. My eyes kept drifting back to Whitney-Rose. I wanted to talk to her, but I didn't know what to say. Just as I was about to speak, I heard the tell-tale whoosh of some demon returning to hell. I glanced over and had to do a double take.

Belladonna was carrying an unconscious Winnie. I gripped the bars as I watched them tie him up to the execution chair on the platform.

I hope Ash doesn't do anything stupid.

What am I saying, of course, he will! He's Ash!

And he cares for Winnie a lot. Maybe more than they both realize.

As Belladonna began to sharpen the ritual knife for taking a human's soul, I heard a much quieter whoosh. I looked to my left and saw Ash glaring at the platform.

I turned to Whitney-Rose. "Baby, you gotta let me outta here."

She glared at me from the corner of her eye. "Don't call me that, and no."

"Whit, please, I'm begging you! Let me out!"

"No."

"Sweetheart, listen, I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry I cheated and I'm sorry I ignored you and I'm sorry I wasn't enough for you. I don't have an excuse and I don't want you to forgive me. I know I'm not worth it and I know you want nothing to do with me. And that's okay if you hate me, hell, I hate myself. But this isn't about you or me. It's about Ash. You knew Jaxon, didn't you? He used to be your boyfriend, right? Do you really want to see someone you care about suffering like that again?" I pleaded as I looked at her.

As I spoke, Whitney-Rose's steely complexion became softer and softer until she resembled a rose petal. How fitting. She finally looked me in the eyes and sighed. "Fine. But this isn't for you. It's for Asher."

"Thank you," I said as she quietly unlocked the cell. I sprang off the ground and went in for a hug. Thinking better of it when I saw the look on Whit's face, I stopped and pat her shoulder instead. I quietly transported next to Ash and grinned at him.

Asher's POV

I whipped around, raising the knife slightly, only for me to lower it and grin. I nodded my head at Domi and faced Natasha, who had gotten Baxter's attention. They were both coming this way, and fast. I raised my knife in defense, but Domi pushed my hand down. Never breaking eye contact with Natasha, he said, "You go get Winnie. I'll hold these two off."

My eyes widened. "Are you sure?"

Domi laughed. "Yeah, I'm sure. I can take them. You go get your boyfriend."

With that, he charged ahead and met Natasha and Baxter head-on. He appeared to be handling it, so I let him be and ran to the execution platform.

Dexter looked up just as I tackled him to the ground. I stabbed him in his shoulder joint with the knife, making him scream and drawing the attention of the other two. Thorn growled and jumped off the platform. I took the knife out of Dexter's shoulder and swung at Thorn, making him jump back.

I quickly got off Dexter, who slowly got up. He clutched his left shoulder as blood gushed past his fingers. He glared at me as he and Thorn began to slowly approach me. I stood my ground and glanced out of the corner of my eye at Belladonna, who was ignoring our fight and continued to sharpen the knife. She held it up and it glinted in the various ever-lit pits of fire. She returned it to the sharpening block.

Thorn lunged at me. I sidestepped him and cut his arm with the knife. Dexter kicked me in the stomach right where Baxter had stabbed me. I grimaced but didn't slow down. I returned Dexter's kick to his junk, making him groan in pain and fall to the floor. I managed to sink the knife into Thorn's right shoulder blade before I heard a loud scream.

I looked up and saw Winnie looking around. His mismatched eyes were wide with fear as they locked onto Belladonna, who had finished sharpening and was now examining the knife. She pointed it at Winnie.

I growled and pulled the knife out of Thorn's shoulder blade and let him fall to the floor. Just as I was about to jump up onto the platform, another shout got my attention.

Domi was being held down by Baxter as Natasha plunged a knife into his gut and dragged it downwards. She smiled as Domi screamed louder. I felt like vomiting as I heard the rip of Domi's intestines. I heard the sadistic laughter of Natasha as blood splattered on her cheek.

I didn't know who to go to. As I panicked, Dexter recovered and tackled me. The knife fell out of my hand and slid away from me. Thorn, although bleeding still, picked it up and walked over to me. Dexter sat on my back, crushing my wings. He pulled my hair, forcing me to look up. Thorn twirled the knife in his hand.

My breathing started to get heavy. Natasha and Baxter had left Domi alone. He was curled into the fetal position, trying to stop his stomach from bleeding as much as possible, but in vain. I looked over at Belladonna, who now had the knife against Winnie's neck and had already begun the chant.

Thorn started to drag the knife against my neck, drawing blood along the way. My breathing came in fast pants until I screamed. The last thing I saw was blinding white light.
