Scene 18: The last day (Vincent)
I had a dream I was walking into a place where it was like in a middle of two mountains, an earth bridge lies before me. I walked in it but as I walked my vision blurs and I felt dizzy and finally I lost my consciousness and everything went upside down, and I saw a person sleeping he has black skin claws and black feather wings and he only wore white pants and a long white hair, but as I reached for him he woke revealing his blood red eyes, and as he opened it so did my eyes close and I saw his point of view like I was him and I saw Maria crying and I looked at myself I was turning into dust, until the last thing I saw was her smile amidst her cry.
I woke up as the sun blinded me and I saw Maria was still sleeping I woke her up by kissing her in the forehead, she grumbled and she opened her eyes and smiled although I had a nightmare what matters is that I could see her.
“Good morning sleepy head.” I greeted.
“Good morning.” She replied cheerfully.
We stood and did our daily routine, and as walk through the dining hall they raise there drinks as we made our way on the table and as we sat they greeted and so did we, there we saw our friends and Maria’s mom on a table people still smile and chefs served our food and Queen Sara started to discuss the plan.
We were to leave using sky city and from here it was just a few hours trip due south, and by sundown we would go to the temple and hope we find it, the plan sounds simple but King Titus said something that made the mission dangerous.
“We had reports of that place from our travelers, well the thing is nobody ever came back I lost 10 scouts in that place and nobody came back.” He said.
“That is bad indeed, not to mention that Lumina’s husband is the one that said that.” King Sora said.
“But we need to, the oracle had spoken of it.” Queen Sarah said.
They went silent for a while and finally Queen Zephyr broke the silence. “We’ll have to protect the kids then.” She spoke.
“Agreed let us finish and go.” King Tides said I was surprised when I saw his fish tail changes into legs.
We finished our breakfast and everyone prepared for the journey ahead.
Some of the mages stayed behind both Aquamancers and Paladin.
And we took off and Maria and I stayed on the border while Aqua and Verra ran some errands.
“You ready my love?” I asked.
She sighed, and rest her head on my shoulder. “Vincent, I don’t want you to go.” She said.
“Don’t worry Maria there must be a reason for this.” I said to reassure her.
She still looked troubled and I don’t know how to reassure her and Verra stood beside me and smiled. “Hey Vincent may I borrow Maria for a while?” She asked.
Maria rose from my arms and she was dragged by Verra and Aqua stood beside me.
“Hey man, what’s up?” I asked.
“Hey” He said as he looked forward.
“You know you’re a lucky guy.” He said.
“I sure am, and you know it bothers me to see her worry about me, so maybe my luck has just run out.” I said.
Aqua sat. “Come on bro. don’t say that, you know Originator Shadow, he has the tendency to deceive.” Aqua said.
“Well I might not know too much about this world but I am still happy that I got to met her, and you guys.” I said.
