Scene 6: Twilight’s caress (Vincent)
I was a bit embarrassed when I learned that Maria was the one who nursed me back to normal I felt a lot better.
I found her sleeping in the side of the bed, as I woke up so I immediately carried her to her bed and thanked her and I watched her sleep.
It took only a few hours for her to wake up.
But after a very short conversation she said something rather unexpected, she stretched and yawned.
“Let’s go Vincent.” Maria said.
“But Maria isn’t this your house?” I asked.
“I know.” She said reluctantly.
“Oh wait, I need you to do something.” She said as she held the void orb in her hand.
“What do you want me to do Maria?” I asked.
“I want you to press your hand against mine while we put the orb to the center.” She said.
“Why?” I asked.
“It’s for us to unite our powers, it is a sign of union and power.” She said.
“Well if you say so.” I said.
She held the orb with one hand and I held the other end. “Focus your power on the orb.” She said.
I closed my eyes and focused my power on the orb and I felt some of it leave me and as I opened my eyes I saw the orb shine, inside it was an orange, liquid like substance that dances with a white translucent, liquid like substance, and I can hear them hum.
“Whoa I never thought I could see magical energy like this.” I said.
“Well this is the remnant of our power.” She said.
I nodded. She held it towards a bracelet. “What’s that?” I asked.
“We’ll find out.” She said monotonously. The orb touched the bracelet the void orb shrank into the size of a hole in the bracelet and it grew into a 4 feet Iron staff with ornate ends and the void orb resting on the center.
Maria was astonished. “This is… Helios blessing.” She said.
“A staff.” I said.
“Not just a staff this staff is the staff that is passed down to the family.” I said.
She stared at me and smiled. “Let’s go Vincent.” She said.
“Were at?” I asked.
“To my father’s throne.” She said.
I nodded. But before I could go Maria pointed her staff at me. “Umm Maria, W-what are you doing?” I asked.
She giggled. “What are you gawking at, I’m not going to do something bad.” She said as she closed her eyes and chanted. “Change.”
My clothes changed from a sleeveless black t-shirt and ragged blue pants to a new pair of blue pants a white sleeveless t-shirt and a long white cape. “Now we can go.” She said.
I followed her to the throne room and the light was just as bright as Maria’s room the large room buzzes with activity people walk endlessly, but Maria head straight into the big stair case that leads to a throne that seems so magnificent but ignored by the busy crowd.
Maria knelt in front of the first step towards the throne.
“Father we have completed the task.” I said.
