Scene 3: Test (Maria)
We were about to get out to prepare for our mission but Erika got on our way.
“Hello little miss Maria, I see you have returned early, why? Did you got scared by the humans?” Erika said.
“No, I’m here to prepare for my mission that my father assigned to me Erika, now if you’re done wasting my time we should get going.” I said.
“A mission? You don’t even have a guardian yet.” She said in a mocking manner. But she looked behind me to my right there she saw Vincent standing and staring at her then she looked at me and grinned.
“You brought back a boyfriend from the human world?!” She said.
“No! He’s my guardian!” I snapped.
“He’s your guardian?!” She asked.
“Yes he is!” I shouted.
“Surely a mere human cannot do anything in our world.” Erika said arrogantly.
“I bet he can.”I said proudly but I suddenly remembered that Erika might test him but I was too late.
“Well let’s see then, Saber come here.” She called.
“Saber?” I asked.
“Yes, he is my guardian.” Erika said proudly.
A big wolf as tall as 5 feet materialized behind her without us noticing.
“Mistress be careful.” Vincent shouted as he stood between me and the 5 foot tall wolf.
“Get them Saber.” Erika commanded.
The beast immediately lunged at me but I put my hand on towards the sky and chanted. “Strike!” The light from the sun stirred and form a pure form of light in the sky and hit the beast with a laser, the beast fell but not for long.
He stood and shook his body and charged towards me, I was too exhausted to dodge the attack. I was already gasping for air but from out Vincent was vigilant. “Watch out Mistress!” He said as he carried me out of the way.
“Are you ok mistress?” Vincent asked.
“Yes Vincent, let me handle this one it’s too dangerous for you.” I said.
He didn’t react he just simply put me down and he stood and faced Erika.
“I promised you mistress and I will not break that promise.” He said.
To our surprise Vincent lunged at Erika but Saber was evenly fast he gained up on Vincent so I immediately thought of a support spell that is easy to cast and does not drain too much energy.
“Power! Deflect!” I casted as I put my hands towards Vincent.
Saber went flying off as soon as he tried to slash Vincent who now tripped Erika and prepared to deliver a fatal blow.
Erika closed her eyes as she braced for the punch, but He missed his blow on purpose just a few inches from Erika’s face
“I don’t usually hit girls but if you try to hurt my Mistress again, I swear I’ll make an exception.” Vincent said.
Erika’s eyes reopened now clearly infuriated.
“Vincent watch out!” I warned but it was too late.
Erika touched Vincent’s barrier and casted. “De spell” then Saber quickly slashed Vincent but He managed to escape.
“Vincent get out of there!” I shouted.
