Scene 19: The sacrifice (Vincent)
The library was small it felt like it was just a normal study room, not what I expected it to be, books are everywhere, in the ground, pilled up and they were all book of spells with unusual texts like it was from another dimension or something, none of them made sense. I even spotted a nursery book on one desk and it was half scorched, and one still on a spot light on the edge of one shelf like a dictionary on a normal library and when I check it out the pages were empty,
We held the book together and we aged back to 10 year olds we were surprised and we let go and we went back to normal 16 year olds.
“Whoa, what just happened?” I asked.
“I don’t know.” Maria said.
“Let’s not do that again.” Maria said.
“Agreed” I replied.
We searched a little more and I heard a scream, I looked in its direction and I saw Verra trembling, Aqua opened the book beside it and he was sprayed by water.
“You know the spirits have good sense of humor.” Aqua said.
Verra still trembling. “Prank spells really?” She said as her teeth chattered.
We saw a small stair case that leads to more shelves but I got intrigued by one book resting on the ground. “The book of fear” It said.
I was about to open it but Maria stopped me. “I don’t think you should open that.” But I opened it anyway and it only had one big word written in a really big font. “BOO” I looked around but nothing happened. “Well that sucks” I said but when I hand it to Maria the book glow and from one of the dark side of the shelves a zombie emerged and charged at Maria she screamed in horror hiding behind me but when it closed in, it converted to confetti I hugged Maria to calm her down. “Don’t worry love it’s gone.” I said.
She pulled back and I picked up the book and a small font was written below the main title. “Only works on your mother, Love your dad.” It said.
She swatted the book away. “Sick bastard” She muttered.
I laughed but Maria punched me slightly in the chest. “Sorry” I said.
Finally we saw two thrones in the end of the library we approached the seats and I saw a paper lying in the ground I took it and read it, it looked like scribbles like it was created by 3 year olds and it was written in different fonts and colors. “We Love Mom and Dad.” It said, and a picture of stick people one in a dress and another in a coat.
“Maria do you think this is the throne of Lumina and Shadow?” I asked.
“I never knew they would be so person like.” she said.
I examined the throne closely and I saw names on it. “Defender” On the right and “Deceiver” On the left.
Maria went on a trance again. “Shadow my dear, will you please sit beside me.” Maria said.
I had a feeling that I need to seat on it so I did on the “Deceiver” seat.
A surge of power entered my body. “The story begins.” I said in trance. “Through nothingness it did.” Maria said in trance. “Shall chaos destroy.” I said. “And the end will come and claim us all.” Maria said.
“And we shall all return to nothingness until we are born anew.” We said.
I was asked to leave. And I did without question and as I returned to the entrance of the library where we first stood. I stopped from the trance and I saw Maria and the others looking at a book the title was in different Writing and so is its context and Maria snapped out of her trance.
