Scene 14: Protect (Vincent)
We ran deep in the jungle Maria is still out cold but she’s breathing which gave me hope, Verra and Aqua ran beside me and Ageroth was running his head low and wing tucked in.
“We need to find a good spot to make our stand.” Verra said.
“How are we going to fend off all of them didn’t you see those twelve ships they carry at least a hundred men each.” Aqua said.
“Let me handle this I’ll just turn to that thing again and…” I said.
“What kill us all? And besides how did you change into that in the first place.” Verra said.
“Well I got mad alright?!” I said.
“Whoa dude chill we don’t want you to turn into that thing again.” Aqua said.
“Right, sorry.” I said.
We stopped into a mountain side. “Great a dead end, what now?” Verra asked.
“Oh contraire Verra look.” Aqua said as he pointed a cave resting on the mountain side.
“That’s perfect, but the question is, is someone home?” I asked.
We paused for a while and Maria groaned. “Vincent stop let’s go home.” She said.
“Umm… is she awake?” I asked.
Aqua looked behind. “Nope she’s sleep talking.” He said.
“Wow even when she’s asleep you’re the one in her head, Vincent you charmer.” Verra said.
“Umm… ok that is awkward.” I said.
“But flattering.” Aqua mocked.
We suddenly heard a big explosion in the far side of the forest.
“Ok the boom says we need to go hide now.” Aqua said.
“Agreed” Verra and I said in unison.
We climbed up the cave and rested inside. We were all soaking wet.
“We need some fire to dry our selves.” I said and I saw Ageroth curling up behind Verra.
“Hey Vincent, your scarring him, besides you afraid of that too you know.” Verra said.
“Oh yeah I forgot.” I said.
“Well we could just use the change spell you know.” Aqua said.
“You guys know that spell?” I asked.
“Yup it’s just a basic spell.” Verra said.
“I see.” I said.
“But first.” Aqua said as he pointed his trident on me.
“Ah dude, what are you doing?” I asked.
He laughed “why, doesn’t Maria ever do this to you?” “Aw come on man what is it with mages and pointing there staff on their guardian.” I said. They laughed.
“Leave.” Aqua said and the rain water from my body is gone then he did the same with Verra and Maria then Verra pointed her staff at me “Change” She said, I wore nothing but a blue shorts and a blue jacket with a hood. “Thanks Verra.” I said.
She tapped the ground and she changed into a long cape with hood a cloth in her face and she wore only a top for her chest and long blue pants, and she pointed the staff at Maria and she casted change. Maria changed into the same outfit as Verra
