I got home, pacing throughout the living room. I was scared. I thought Caesar was lying about the whole little girl and the Gate thing.
"Mia, you ok?" Mom said. This is my chance on asking her about the Gate Keeper. But I think right now isn't the time. I can't handle anything about the little girl at the moment.
"Well, I've heard stuff about the Gate and the little girl." She froze up and walked to the kitchen. "What? Is it a problem to talk about it?" I asked. "Well honey, let's just say that the gate is a very dangerous place for a wolf like you." She put the dishes down on the counters and looked at me with her hands on her hips.
"Are you saying that I'm not strong enough to go through the Gate?" I said offended. "No, that's not what I meant."
"Watch me." I left for school and walked to the bus stop. I kept thinking what Momma is hiding from me. I heard little footsteps in the grass next to me.
"I'm guessing she didn't tell you, Mia." Andrea said. "No, she didn't. She doesn't think I'm strong enough to go through the Gate."
"Well, no one is strong enough to go through. A lot of things happen there. I'm the only one in the realm that could go through because Ryland favors me." Well that's interesting. I wonder if Ryland is either human or wolf-like.
"Is Ryland a wolf or a human?" I asked her. "He's more like the devil wolf." Andrea ran off, leaving me on the sidewalk to school.
How the heck did I end up at school so quick?
"Mia! Over here!" Kyler said yelling for me. "Oh, hey." I walked over to the group and saw Caesar. I smiled and ran over to him. "Hey babe." He said putting his arm around my waist. I wrapped my arms around him, feeling his warmth once again. My stomach twisted when he slid his hands further down my back.
"You two are so cute!" A girl said. "Male and Female in the house!" Some others said.
"So, I've talked to her again." I told Caesar. "Who? Andrea?" He asked. Nevaeh and Kyler looked at each other shocked and scared. "You guys talked to the little girl yesterday?" Kyler said with fear in his eyes.
"You look scared. What's wrong?"
"You guys need to stop talking to her. We have proof of what things she did in the past." Nevaeh said. "Follow us." Kyler said swatting his hand to follow them.
Caesar looked at me confused and I shrugged. "Let's see what they have to show us. We have some time until first period starts."
They led us to a big dark-green door that had several locks on it. "Stand back a bit. I don't want you guys to get blinded." Nevaeh said. Kyler didn't back up.
"Kyler back up!" I shouted. "No, I'm allowed to stand near her because we're related." Nevaeh put her eye in front of a bright light and it scanned her. I shield my eyes and stood back with Caesar.
The door magically unlocked without anyone touching it. It opened and the two siblings walked in. I followed them, holding onto Caesar's hand.
They walked down a hallway with pictures plastered all over the walls. I looked around with amazement on my face. "Wow, this is amazing." Caesar walked over to the picture where it showed a wolf glowing from being thrown into a dark void.
"Caesar? You ok?" I said walking over to him. "T-this is my m-mom." He said letting tears fall down his face. Oh no. Now I'm starting to cry. "I'm so sorry. She seems like a really beautiful wolf to be honest." I said rubbing his back. "She was. She was the wolf that put an end to the first war between the wolves and Lunas." He wiped away his tears and walked away from the painting.
