also, thank you so very much for 18K. we are so close to reaching 19K reads and I gotta say, I'm proud. so thank you very much for reading, I didn't think I'd make it this far bUT HERE I AM.
very long author's note, but today's oneshot is basically 'A Sky Full of Stars' but updated, and it's shorter?? I'm not quite sure how to explain and so in advance, I'd like to apologize for wasting your time.
I promise to write a longer one
another day. and it's going to be fluff.-
the sun was nowhere to be seen; instead, a sky full of stars twinkled in the night as Ryan laid down on the grass, letting each plant tickle his bare feet. he didn't know what he was doing there; it was the first place he could think of. it was their place.
Ryan could vividly remember first time he made contact with Shane. he remembered the short breaths and the way his lips shaped itself to a nervous smile. it was something he could never forget, as it was the first time he ever fell in love.
He could always remember how the words fell gracefully out of his lover's lips, sounding so confident with each letter spoken. He remembered how he could make him feel whole again. The emptiness he felt in his heart grieved for Shane, and the stream of tears that fell upon his cheeks whispered with sympathy.
"Do you know why I love this place?" Shane had asked suddenly, his eyes set on the sun that rose up the hill. Ryan turned his attention to the tall brunet, memorizing the features that made him, him. he noticed how relaxed the boy looked, and he couldn't help but sigh at the sight he was given. "I love how quiet this is. I mean, you're quiet, too." Shane couldn't help but laugh.
Ryan's mind traced back to when they used to hold one another, the kind you'd expect two people in love to hold each other, tightly and never wanting to let go. But this time, the breeze that grazed his skin felt colder than before, and he had no choice but to wrap his thin arms around himself, silently begging for warmth but he knew the wind could not do anything but pity the crying boy.
never in his life had he felt so alone, and Ryan could not anything. He gave up. The promise had been broken. His heart could no longer heal.
"Shane Madej, do you take Ryan Bergara to be your husband?" the priest had questioned the taller boy, the curve of his lips bought ryan back to reality. he was finally happy.
[I]"I do." he smiled.
[I]"And do you, Ryan Bergara, take Shane Madej to be your other husband?"
[I]"If the demons will let me," the smaller joked, laughter echoed throughout the halls. Shane smiled fondly at the man infront of him, pressing soft kisses onto his redden cheeks. "I do, I do."
Ryan could no longer. He was alone.
