"Ryan, you're literally drooling over him,"
The raven haired boy turned his head towards his best friend, Brent, and rolled his eyes at the sight.
"I am not drooling over him, Brent, I was simply-"
"Drooling over him. That's exactly what you're doing."
Ryan pointed his finger at the man infront of him and squinted his eyes. "You know what, Brent? I was not drooling over Shane Madej because I do not like him. Is that okay?"
He shouted the last sentence a little too loud and now the attention was on the best friends. Grunting and walking away, he could feel the smirk that grew on the corner of Brent's lips, and he hated it. He hated how everyone's eyes was now focused on him, and him only, he hated attention, but he also craved it. He kept his head hung low and his eyes on the ground and quickly made his over to the next lesson.
-------------------
The bell rang after five minutes of sitting lonely in the classroom of his next lesson, and soon enough a crowd of people came flooding through the doors and Ryan thanked God he was already seated in his chair. As students came and quickly made their way to their assigned seats, Brent came in, and the contact was immediately met which to Ryan smiled back.
"I have some news, Ry," the brunnette claimed, and he sat on the chair that was empty next to the younger boy. "I talked to the school punk you really like. You know, Sha-"
"Shane Madej," Ryan interrupted rapidly, not wanting to hear his own best friend say his crush's name. "First of all, Shane Madej is not a punk."
To this, Brent eyed Ryan. And as if it was on cue, Shane walked in with his wild bleached blue hair which softly spiked at each corner. For some reason, Ryan liked him, and he always told himself to not fall for looks, which he didn't. He fell for his personality.
"Ryan! Earth to Ryan Bergara?" Brent shouted, clicking his fingers in front of his face. Ryan snapped out of his daydream and forcefully shoved Brent's hands.
"Go away, Brent."
"As I was saying," Brent whispered, "Shane is a punk. And you, my well-trusted friend, fell in love with a punk."
Ryan rolled his eyes at the man for the fifth time today, and answered with confidence, "I don't get care. I fell for his personality, that's it. I don't care if he's a punk."
In the other end of the room, Shane was surrounded by his loving friends and was talking about the younger guy named Ryan.
"You think he likes me?" Shane said, hopefully.
"Shane, we've talked about this two weeks ago," Sara, Shane's best friend. said, "He's been eyeing you since we got here! Just take the hint, and go for it."
The taller man carefully ran a hand through his spiked hair, not wanting to destroy his two hour of work. This was a stressful week for both him and Ryan. Denying their feelings for each other, feelings they've caught since they first laid eyes, has been tough. But with a help of their friends, Brent was Ryan's only friend since the shorter man was considered as to be the school's nerd, everthing was turning out for the better. For the last few weeks, it gave people to talk about. They saw how the two were looking at each other the day they both talked to one another.
"Shane, talk to him, man."
"No, it'll be awkward. You don't even know if he likes me or not."
"Shane, he's literally looking at you right now."
The man turned his head to the boy he was sure he loved, and their eyes met for the second time this week. Shane quickly broke the contact, a deep rosy tint growing on the apples of his cheeks. Embarrased, he placed the palm of his hands to where the cheeks were reddening. The group of friend chuckled, tilting their heads and their eyes focused fondly on the brunette. This was a strange encounter for them, mainly because they have never saw Shane like this, falling for a boy that he knew he was out his league, but being supportive was the only thing they could do. Shane was in love with the school's nerd, Ryan Bergara, and there was nothing they could about it.
Ryan and Brent was arguing again, whether the young man should approach the older man, and obviously Ryan said no. After a while, Brent gave up. He couldn't get his best friend to the man he loved, though, he did have an idea.
"Right, get up." Brent ordered, standing himself up.
Ryan stared at him, shaking his head. "N-no, Brent, I don't want to talk to Shane."
"You're not going to. Just stand up, Ry."
"Brent, I don't want to ta-"
"You aren't going to, now stand." He repeated, annoyed.
Sighing, Ryan followed Brent's command, because if he didn't, he would've made him anyway. Ryan looked at his best friend expectedly, waiting for the next thing he was going to say. Brent wrapped his arm around the shorter man's arm and smiled almost wickedly at him. They started to walk, but they were getting nearer and nearer to Shane and his group of friends. At this moment, Ryan was panicking, desperately trying to get out of Brent's grip.
"Brent, oh my god, no!"
"Today's the day, my boy. You are going to talk to Shane."
Closer and closer they got, and he swore his heart was about to explode out his chest. Shane's head tilted and brown eyes met brown eyes yet again.
"H-hi." Shane stammered.
Ryan's cheeks rapidly reddened at the sudden contact.
"H-hey."
