it's always been ryan and shane,

but ever since shane passed away, it was harder to process, harder to live.

because shane and ryan were best friends; they were co-workers, they were lovers, and so the short man grieved for his tall brunet.

sometimes ryan would have picnics in the moonlight by himself, something the two lovers would always tend to do, when shane was still alive and well. he left a bunch of food just in case shane's ghost wanted some. pouring tea for his one and only though it only stared back at him, like it was yelling him to stop, or maybe it was just in his head, either way, ryan knew he couldn't stop. he loved him so much.

sometimes ryan would lift his head up to the bright clear sky; a sky full of stars would remind him of shane, because shane shone brighter than all of the stars above, ryan had noticed.

they used to hold each other under the stars, the kind you'd expect two people in love would hold one another. but this time, ryan had no choice but to wrap his lonely arms around his small figure, a tear rolling down his already tinted cheeks.

buzzfeed unsolved had to come to a close, as ryan did say he didn't want to continue without shane by his side. Because who could laugh at his stupidity like shane did? who could tease ryan like shane did?

who could make him fall in love with him like shane did to ryan?

it just wasn't the same anymore without him around, and that broke ryan's heart.

the next morning he promised himself to visit his lover's grave; to which he did, infact, keep his word and travelled alongside shane's bestfriend and ryan's co-worker, sara rubin.

ryan was thankful for her, because she was the one who kept checking up on him, because she knew after shane's car accident, he was a having a hard time. she was the one who sympathised him the most; hugging and cuddling was her favourite thing to do. you can tell she was the sweetest thing on earth to have ever existed, and honestly, she was.

"you ready?" she said, squeezing his hand in reassurance.

ryan's head slightly nodded, curving his lips to a shy smile.

closer and closer they got to the gravestone that belonged to shane for two weeks now, ryan didn't feel too good, he felt as if someone was trying to forcefully grab his insides and rip it out. it only pained ryan and his physical being.

standing infront of shane took ryan's breathe away; just the view of his dead lover's grave sent him back to reality. a reality that ryan didn't want to come back from, but it hit him like a ton of bricks.

"I can't do this." he sobbed, and away ryan went.

shane was his only source of sunshine, the happiness that kept him in high spirits. he was the song that ryan would have love to sing everyday, to anyone. he was the light of his life, the love.

no, ryan couldn't accept that shane madej was gone, he wasn't ready to face the life-changing truth.

because, honestly -

shane alexander madej was a sky full of stars.
