2. The Lantern

"Ready?" Shane asks, his fingers on the edge of the handmade lantern.

Ryan nods and starts counting down with the crowd that surrounded them. When they finished, it was time to let the brightly lit paper lantern free.

They watched as the rest of the lanterns escaped from the people's grasp, setting them free. It was a nice time for both Shane and Ryan. They've been together for six months, and they're already acting like responsible parents; without the children involved, of course.

Shane turns his head to stare at his boyfriend, admiring how cute and handsome he looked in the lighting. The warm orange light made his face beautiful, and Shane couldn't help but stare. Soon enough Ryan notices and flashes a toothy smile at the taller man.

"Has anyone ever told you, you look so beautiful?"

Ryan chuckles, "Infact, yes, Shane. You have. About a million times."

Shane chuckles along with him, "Well I mean it, baby. You look so beautiful."

Closer and closer they came towards each other, and with their hearts beating fast and the lantern flying higher and higher with each second, the most important thing was they were here for each other.

Always and forever.

Always and forever going to be Shane and Ryan, and Ryan and Shane.

Nothing else really mattered, because, honestly, this was their moment.
