I kind of wanted to do a Part 2 of You Once Promised Me Forever for some reason, and so I wrote a very tiny, very small, chapter.
I'd also like to point out that this book has nearly reached its finale, which means I'm ending this very soon. I would write a 1K word essay to say how much I'm thankful for you, but I shan't.
We've reached 22K! Thank you so much.

It was strange. It was strange to think that Ryan could no longer feel the presence of somebody he once loved on the other side of the bed. Instead, he was met with a cold sickly feeling; the feeling that he was alone, again.
In the setting of the sun, his mind traced back to the day he saw Shane pass away right infront of him, the rush of anxiety tickled his bones as he grabbed his lover's body close to his own beating heart. He remembered the wetness of the tears that fell upon his tinted cheeks, begging the crowd that had formed to call for help, and yet, nobody moved a muscle.
It was strange. It was strange not seeing the chestnut brown eyes that held so many secrets, and yet, Ryan knew them all. The eyes that gave him so much comfort, so much safety disappeared out of his life so soon, so quickly.
He remembered the feeling of denial when it happened; being struck by lightning only to be struck again. The constant reminder of reality pained him and clouded his mind with thoughts that was a danger to his brain. He was so close, oh, so close. And though, he was close, he couldn't bare himself to do so.
"I love you". Shane had once said, smiling. His large hands caressing Ryan's small frame, planting tiny kisses onto his arched lips. The smaller man whispered the words back, only to be met with tranquillity. The still of night reminding once again, that he was alone.
He kept isolated from his friends and family, not bearing to deal with sympathy all over again. Recieving undesired condolonces from the people that didn't matter the most, he cornered himself in his bedroom. Eyes full of tears, grieving for the one that did matter. Ryan couldn't come to terms with reality, he was not ready to shake its hand. At least not now. Possibly not ever.
The loving words that Shane had said whispered in his ears like a melody, comforting him. It was the one thing that Ryan had, that kept Shane's spirit alive.
"Together forever?"
"Of course. I once promised you forever, didn't I?"
"You did."
