I didn't know how much time had passed since I fainted from the unbearable pain Tom had put me through. All I knew was that it had finally stopped. Thank God. But was that really a good thing? Well, at least I'm not dead, I thought. But if I wasn't dead, it meant Tom was alive as well. Such a shame. That was definitely an issue. But as disappointing as it was, it was just another problem I had to deal with later. Right now, figuring out what exactly had happened was probably the best course of action.
I slowly opened my eyes and tried to stand up as carefully as possible, only to fall back on the ground pretty much immediately.
"Hey!" Tom yelled. I wheeled around to see where he was, but he had simply vanished from my sight. That wasn't like him at all. I frowned but decided not to focus on it too much.
"Tom? Where...are you?" Great. Not only did I have problems standing, but I also had problems speaking as well. Whatever had happened to me, it definitely wasn't anything good.
"Right here. Where are YOU?"
That was strange. I could hear Tom like he was standing right next to me, but he just wasn't there. A worry was present in my mind, a distant truth about what was happening, but I desperately ignored it.
"I have no idea what the fuck is going on. All I know is that this is definitely your fault," Tom growled.
I decided that ignoring him was probably the wisest decision and simply tried to stand up another time, only to land on my stomach. This was starting to reach worrisome levels of failure.
"Okay, I have no idea what's happening right now, but it's not funny!"
"What do you mean?" As much as I wanted to, ignoring the thorn in my side just wasn't going to work. He was still here and I was unable to make him shut up.
"What have you done, commie?! What was that serum?!"
"How many times do I have to tell you: I don't know what it was! J-just calm down!"
"My body is trying to stand up without me doing anything, sunshine lollipops, and you are telling me to 'just calm down'?! Are you mad?!"
With his response, I was finally hit with the horrifying realization I had tried my best to ignore. I had a terrifying idea of what it could be... but it wasn't possible, right? That was... that was absolutely crazy! Something like that just couldn't happen and I had never EVER invented anything that could make this possible. Had I?
"O-okay. Tom. P-please move your right arm."
"What? Commie, since when are you giving me orders?" Tom seemed annoyed, but also pretty scared of the things which happened. Just like I was.
"Just do what I tell you, Tom! I said please, isn't that enough?! Stop it with your dumb questions, alright?!"
Tom grumbled something rude I thankfully didn't understand. It made it a lot easier not to get angry at this insufferable moron. Suddenly my right arm moved right into my hoodie pocket. In a blue hoodie pocket. I gasped.
