This was so incredibly humiliating! I was not some helpless baby! So why was I treated as one? Why did they have to carry me?! Just because Tord was - surprise, surprise - an asshole and fused us together! I absolutely loathed him. For this and for everything else! I would rather be dead than have to deal with this bullshit any longer!
"You are taller than before," Edd commented when he and Matt finally put us down on one of the chairs in the kitchen.
"Huh?" we asked. Ugh, we had both reacted, making us reply in some mixed voice. Being fused really sucked. Hopefully, we would become ourselves again soon enough. Then, we could forget this ever happened and move on. Just pretend it never happened.
"Well, you are a lot taller. Probably a bit taller than Matt, but I don't know how tall. You'd have to stand beside him, so we can compare your heights."
I groaned in frustration, "I don't care if I'm taller than Matt, Edd! I just want to be a single person again! Why should I care about any of this?!"
"It doesn't matter how tall we are anyway. The only thing we need is to find a way to turn us back."
"And...how do we call you as long as you are... fused? We can't just call you both names." Matt muttered. Seriously? What a stupid question!
"Tom, obviously."
"We go by Tord," Tord insisted.
"I won't let anyone call me 'Tord', dumbass. Forget it!" I hissed, crossing my arms.
"I won't let myself be called Thomas either. It's way too common."
"Oh? Well, your name is a total joke anyway. Who in their right mind names their child 'Tord'?" I snorted.
"You don't even know what it means!" He growled.
"Do I have to, though? Because I already know how embarrassing it sounds."
"Okay, this is definitely NOT going to work," Edd sighed, messaging his temples.
"What about Torm?" Matt suggested after a few seconds of intense thinking.
What? What kind of godawful name is that?!
"Seriously? 'Torm'? That's an even worse name," I growled. "You can't just put our names together! It sounds awful. Why not something like, I don't know, Steve?! Or anything else that sounds normal!"
"This name is definitely strange but... it's better than not knowing what to say if someone asks for our name. You'd say Tom and I would say Tord like we did before and, yeah... it might actually come out like that."
"Whoever asks us would be confused but why is that such a problem, commie?" I narrowed my eyes. What the hell was he on about?
"Someone would figure out we are a fusion and we'd end up in some lab for experimentation, obviously. What else? Have you really not thought about this before?" I turned into a monster most of the time when things got too intense. I would definitely end up in a lab one day, that was a truth I had accepted a while ago. But he wasn't strange. His hair might be weird since it looked so stupid, but that wasn't our reason for ending up in a lab. If I would lose anyway, I might as well take him with me. It was just fair.
"Soooooo... it's Torm?" Matt grinned. I could read him well enough to know he didn't have a clue what to make of us arguing with ourselves. I couldn't really blame him for that. It must look really weird to outsiders.
" Yes," I groaned. "Happy now?" It was at least better than being called Tord. But not by much.
"How did you even get this idea?" Edd asked him.
Matt beamed. "Oh, it's just that... They are a... fusion, yeah. So I just 'fused' their names together: Tom and Tord. And Torm sounds better than Tomd, so it's Torm!" Well, at least he remembered our names this time. That was a plus, I guess...?
"...alright then. I will just go back into my roo-" Tord tried to stand up again and we crashed to the ground, falling right on our face. Since we had a stone floor in the kitchen the pain was a lot worse than a fall in my own room.
"Sunshine lollipop, we are STILL fused. We can't walk. How could you POSSIBLY forget this?"
"Shut up, you moron! I know that!!" Tord grunted.
"Tom, Tord, stop it. Fighting won't make it ANY better. You are adults not freaking toddlers," Edd groaned. He looked really pissed off. I realized he probably regretted finding out our little secret if it meant that much trouble for him. He should've thought about the consequences beforehand then. I couldn't help but grin.
They helped us back up and onto the chair with little effort. Mostly because we didn't resist this time.
"But he was the one who started it!!!" we shouted and used both hands to point on ourselves. An angry growl escaped my lips.
"No, it's your fault!!!"
"Commie!!!"
"Jehovah's witness!!!"
Matt just stared at us with wide eyes. I bet he thought we were crazy or something because we acted like little kids but I didn't care. His opinion was unimportant.
Suddenly I noticed Edd had walked to the door. He mumbled, "I will buy some Cola. See you later and don't burn the house down," before walking out of the room. Fan-fucking-tastic.
"What the-"
"Edd?"
"You can't just leave me alone with them!" Matt cried. "They will kill me! And ruin my pretty pretty face!" We could hear the front door getting slammed shut and watched Edd walk away from the kitchen window. And then it were only three.
"I'm sorry, but why exactly would I kill you, Matt?" Tord asked. I felt my face shift into a frown.
"Because... because... I don't know... I don't really know any of you."
"I am Tord. Why can't you just remember me? You did fine a few minutes ago..." Tord groaned.
"We can't even walk without falling on the ground so...we can't really hurt you." Even though I can't say I didn't want to punch a certain someone right now.
He stayed silent for a few seconds, lost in thought. "That makes sense... I will go into my room. I need to look after my toy collection," he mumbled and also walked out, leaving us alone in the kitchen.
"Okay commie, it's your fault Edd's left us here with Matt! Thank you so much for that!" I muttered.
"My fault? Oh please, you weren't any better than me. If it's really my fault, which I highly doubt, then it's yours, too. Don't act like such a child."
That was enough. I simply had enough of this smug bastard. He comes back here, thinking he can replace me so easily and won't even take responsibility for all the shit he put me through? Hell no. So I punched him in the face as hard as I could. Our face? My face? I just didn't care whether or not we were sharing a body right now. There was only one thought in my mind: He will suffer for everything! The pain of my fist hitting my own face caused me to cry out. But that was unimportant. He felt the same pain as me. As long as I made him suffer, I didn't care. So I punched us once again.
Tord growled and slapped us across the face. "I can do the same thing to you, you know!"
"So what? You can't win against me!"
"Wanna bet?!" he hissed and used our left leg to kick the right one.
That was the moment we really started fighting. Hair was pulled, skin pinched... all kinds of ways were used to bring each other down. I even managed to bite his finger hard enough for me to taste blood. Neither of us cared about the fact we shared one body and hurt ourselves just as much as we hurt each other. All that mattered was how much we could make each other hurt.
