16: Broken but Soulful

His mask was over his nose like always, staring deeply through my eyes. It made me feel happy but confused. How did he get here? Why did he know I was here? How come he left when we just started talking? Questions swirled around my brain but I knew only few could be answered.

He wrapped his arms around my shoulders making me tense. Does he not realize that Sasuke is literally on the ground behind me?! Then again he wouldn't know.

I heard Sasuke stand up. Then I noticed his eyes glare at Lucia like daggers. A tint of red crept onto my face. Trying to break from Lucia was about difficult regardless, his strength.

"Who are you?" Sasuke growled, only receiving silence for an answer.

I awkwardly laughed while Lucia looked down to Sasuke. Lucia was pretty tall for his age. Which I guess was 14 since we were about the same age from when I remember. He was around 5.8 while I was 5.4, Sasuke looked about 5.5.

Lucia tugged me towards his chest while raising his eyebrows at Sasuke. "Ro's...close friend." He gritted. He really wanted to say something else it seemed.

Sasuke tilted his head, stuffing his hands down his pockets. "You know I meant your name."

"It's...Lucia."

Then that's when Sasuke went full banshee inside. His face lit up in realization as he looked at Lucia with... jealousy? I heard Sasuke's low growl as he just glared. Sasuke opened his mouth but as he was about to speak, Lucia cut him off.

"I'll take my Fiance and go now thanks!" Lucia cheerfully said as if pretending we weren't 13 and 14. My eyes widened as he grabbed under my knees and around my shoulder.

Then lifting me up as if I was his bride. Technically I was suppose to be his bride but...I bet the marriage was cancelled regardless we aren't in the Four Nations anymore. I scrambled to try and get out but he was pretty resistant. "N-No it's not what you think Sasuke he's not my-"

"Thanks for taking care of her!" Lucia cut off with a laugh as he took water from the air and made a water tornado around us. Then he instantly left through the crowd as I heard the sound of water splashing. He was still carrying me but at this point...I don't know what to expect from Lucia.

SASUKE

"It's... Lucia." The guy stated.

That's when a bomb started to tick in my head. This guy was Lucia! The guy that Ro was mumbling on about. She did say she loved him...but why him? He seems a bit snobby to me, and it's me judging someone! But why did my heart clenched so much? I always punished myself for having feelings and tried so desperately to cast them away but humans are complicated creatures...I know that I had feelings to begin with. But I just couldn't accept them either, I hated having feelings. I wish that humans can grow to be emotionless so-so I didn't feel this way!

While I lost myself in my thoughts I failed to notice Lucia lifting Ro bridal style as she yelped in embarrassment. Her face flushed red as Lucia had tints of pink across his cheeks with a grin through his mask.

"Ill take my Fiance and go now thanks!" Lucia yelled proudly. That made my insides feel like crumbling upon each other. It just hurt and I wanted it to stop.

'Fiance...' I thought. 'So...they were in an Arranged Marriage huh?' I thought to myself, trying to brush off the thought even though they annoyed me. I stuffed my hands down my pockets, secretly clenching fists.

"N-No it's not what you think Sasuke he's not my-" Ro sounded pretty flustered just from her tone.

"Thanks for taking care of her!" Then what shocked me most was that Lucia grabbed water from thin air creating a water tornado which instantly grabbed the attention of many. Ninja and civilians around started staring in awe and shock.
