"You're late!" She growled.
Nala sighed.
"Just ten minutes boss..."
"Just ten minutes boss!"Mrs McCarthy mocked Nala,in a way that Nala thought was most infantile.
"Ten minutes late is still late, Nala...!"
"sorry."
"Sorry doesn't cut it.This is the twentieth time!"
Nala opened her mouth in protest.
That wasn't fair.
She even counted.
She had been late ten times.
that woman in front of her doubled it.
"Actually it's ten..."She mumbled.
"What's that?" McCarthy dared her to repeat herself.
a small burst of courage came out.
"I've only been late ten times boss and all those ten times I've been to five to fifteen minutes late."
Julia Mccarthy 's already pink face grew red.
Nala could of sworn she blew up a little.
"HOW DARE YOU CONTRADICT ME!!!!"
And she ranted on and on, Nala wincing the entire time.
"....YOU KNOW WHAT STARLING?I'VE JUST ABOUT HAD IT WITH YOUR UPPITY ATTITUDE!!!!YOU'RE FIRED!AND IF I SEE YOU SNIVELLING ON THE STREET I'LL LAUGH!BECAUSE YOU DESERVE IT!"
At that last remark the girl saw red.
That woman had no right.
But then she remembered that it didn't matter.
She wasn't going to end up on the streets anytime soon.
Maybe on magazines.
Maybe.
So she grinned at her ,making her ex boss falter.
"The hellyou're smiling at?"
"Nothing."Nala laughed scooping up her stuff and dumping it in a box.
She strode past the foul woman and opened the door and left.
Of course she let out hysterical laughter before leaving just to get under Mc carthy's skin.
It worked and Nala skipped to her car and drove off.
