Qing's POV
Meetings after meetings, a week passed by without anyone noticing. The good news was the pack was back to its normal state. The bad news was, Dayu didn't want to marry me anymore. I meant, not now...
"I'm fat!!! Do you expect me to walk the aisle like a human and a whale cross-breed?! Let's wait until peanut is here." That was ridiculous! Of course, yes, his baby bump had started to show, but he was not fat at all. He was more beautiful than ever and I couldn't wait that long to make Dayu my husband. But he twinkled his pretty eyes at me and I really couldn't say no. That was decided, we'll get married when Dayu was ready.
Then came the day for the next ultrasound. Peanut's heartbeat filled the room when Doctor Chris turned on the machine. I felt my eyes water at the sound while Dayu had tears running down his face and his eyes filled with love. I gave Dayu's hand a squeeze when we saw our healthy, wiggly baby on the screen. We still couldn't see the sex of the baby as it was still too early. We'll be back for the next scan when Dayu hit the 12th week.
After the scan, we finally announced Dayu's pregnancy to the pack and they were stunned but they told us that they were genuinely happy for us.
The fourth week was pleasant, then came the sixth week. It rolled in like a dark cloud carrying Death Eaters and vomit and sleep potion. Dayu felt nauseous for nearly all of the time. He couldn't drink his favorite tea, coke, or any soda beverages besides ginger ale. He went off eggs, vegetables and his chocolate cake to take the sickness edge off.
"I just want a bowl of chicken soup." He said to me after I made him spaghetti Bolognese that he had been craving all day. I wanted to say something but I stopped myself. He was extra emotional with his pregnancy. His emotions were fighting furiously in his body and were so strong that it gave me a headache.
The week after, Dayu was being very clingy. He said he was lonely when I was out for the meetings. Then it got worse; one time I found him sobbing when I got home from a pack meeting, he said he had the absolute feeling of being completely alienated, just after I left him for an hour. After that incident, Dayu always came with me to every meeting. He even sat on my lap and nobody said a thing as they didn't want to turn into ashes. But after two weeks, he said the meetings were boring and decided to stop coming with me.
After the roller coaster weeks, Dayu woke up one morning looking refreshed,
"Finally I feel like an actual person again and not some kind of soul who had been kissed by a loving dementor! I also can brush my teeth without vomiting into the sink." He said happily while eating his egg salad and drinking his morning tea. He was able to eat normally again and finally after weeks of walking on eggshells, I was be able to walk on pretty solid ice around him.
In the afternoon we went for clothes shopping. Peanut was getting bigger, Dayu's clothes were getting tighter. Papa and Anne decided to come with us and the clothes shopping turned into a huge baby shopping spree. We brought home nine huge bags with newborn baby onesies, pajamas, blankets, burp clothes and tiny jackets as peanut would be born in cold December.
Another two weeks roll by, and the sweet, sweet joy of pregnancy hit us again. Whenever I sensed Dayu felt anything negative, I would run back home and comforted him. Because it was like he was holding a match and the pregnancy hormones washed over him like a litre of petrol and suddenly he was in flames and crying on the floor. And it would take me hours to calm him down.
Other way to calm Dayu down was a nice warm bath. This morning I decided to help Dayu with his bath. I started filling the tub with warm water and his favorite lavender bath oil. I lifted him up and set him in the warm tub.
