Chapter 9

~Midday the next day~

I finally finished making the last few potions, I placed them in a box and carefully made my way back to the house.
"Ein..." I said as he walked out of a room.
"Hmm.. your finished I suppose?"
"Yes, I am.."
"Good... Brother!" He said as a man with black hair approached me.
"Zane..?" I said as I looked at him questionably.
"Yes, who are you?"
"Lock her up she is of no use." Ein commanded as Zane grabbed hold of my arms.
"Why are you doing this!?"
"Because you know to much, besides it's better then being killed right here and now. Oh and don't worry, I'll take good care of your son."
"What! You can't do this!" I said as I tried to break out of Zane's Grasp and I fell to the floor.
"I believe I can... and I just did..." Ein said as he laughed and Zane brought me to an underground jail cell and threw me in and chained me to the wall.
"Don't even try to escape.." he said and left. I tried to break out but all it did was hurt me. I fell onto the floor, weak, tired.

As time passed on I just sat there on the floor on my knees, thinking about all that had happened, as I heard footsteps walk over to me and I looked up.
"I'm so sorry.." he said the masked man and I looked up.
"For what? For this? I have gotten out of worse then this. I can't think of any right now..." I said and laughed a bit at my own pain as he sat down and pulled my chin up to look at him and then he let go he stood up.
"It would have been better if we never met..."
"I don't understand, we only met-..." he cut me off.
"I'm the reason your here.. I told him that you were the best witch I knew... and I did it because I was selfish, I just wanted to see you more then anything and now.. I hurt you.." I looked up at him and watched him take off his mask to reveal the sky blue eyes. Part of me was broken the other part of me was healed... I managed to pulled myself up onto his level and pulled him by the collar of his shirt into a passion and deep kiss.
"I would rather die tomorrow.. then spend centuries not knowing you..." I said as I felt a pain in my side and fell down and he caught me.
"How charming... The rude rogue reuniting with his long lost lover... Pathetic..." A man said as he stepped out of the shadows.
"Ein..." He said as the man smirked as he pulled out one of the potions I made that had the X mark on it.
"No! Please Don't hurt him!... Kill me, do what you want with me, but don't hurt him!"
"Shut up you damn fool!!" He said to me as he looked at Laurence, "I should have given this to you before... brother."
"I was never your brother.. I was held captive like everyone else!" He said as he took out a sword.
"So be it.." Ein said as he threw the potion and Laurence broke the chains.
"LAURENCE!!!" I cried as he fell to the floor.
"Run..." He said as I fell on my knees
"I'm not leaving without you.." I said holding him and he pushed me away..
"You don't have that much time before the potion takes effect... Now Go!" He said and I ran outside to see..
"APHMAU!!!" I yelled and she turned to me and her eyes were green. Arron was about to hit the edge of the cliff. "PLEAAAASE!!! STOP!!" I yelled as he fell off. "N-no...... ARRON!!!!" I screamed as I ran over and jumped the cliff.

"YOU IDIOT! YOU LET HER ESCAPE? SHE WILL SURVIVE THE FALL!!" I heard as I turned into my emthian form and flew down to the bottom to see him laying there.
"No... no..." I said as tears fell down my face and Tatiana ran over.
"I came as fast as I can.. no.. we need to get you out of here... your eyes..." I ripped off a peace from my long sleeved red top and rapped it around my eyes.
"I'm sorry..." I said to Tatiana. "But I won't go with you."
"YOU NEED TO GO!"
"I won't.. I'm going to bring them back.."
"You can't follow him, her!" She cried as she blocked me from moving.
"Please.. let me pass."
"No I won't! He wanted the same now look at him!!" She said as she looked at Arron. "He's gone! Forget about him." She held onto my arm.
"I will never!! I just got him back, I won't lose him, not again.." I managed to pull my arm out of her grasp.
"If you don't stop he will kill you! Just like he did to your cousin.. Don't you understand! Your fighting a losing battle! Please let me protect you! Since I couldn't protect him!"
"Please... he's my angel.."
"No he will hurt you!"
"Please... He is everything to me.." there was a silence.
"Fine.. but please listen to me, I didn't want any part in this!" She started crying. "You have to understand this wasn't my fault!"
"It will be ok... just tell me what's going on... you can help me and save them..." she nodded and explained me what had happened to her. That she was transformed by Ein to spare her pack and he became alpha and more about the snake eyed man and the forever potions.
"I'm so sorry...." I said as her eyes turned brown. "Your eyes..."
"No...no... The potion.. the effects... can't be undone.. once they turn back to their original color..." I then started to run off. "No please don't go he will kill you!!! Come back!! PLEAAAAAASE!!!!

I ran up the mountain where I saw Laurence standing looking out into the distance. Ein standing next to him.
"Ein...." I growled. "What do you want with me and my family!!"
"Your bloodline took away something dear to me..." he said... "You and your worthless pathetic bloodline.." my eyes widened. "You thought I wouldn't find out... what a shame.. Then again what does it matter... after all as an ultima... You have no place in this world.." he chuckled. "Nothing to say... You must have thought you were being so clever... that no one would ever find out about the ultima, none the less you being one.. You always were so smug about it.."
"What do you know about me..."
"More than you think... now enough talk..." he said as he gave Laurence a sword.. "Kill her.."
"As you wish.." he said as he walked over to me.
"Laurence, listen to me.. this isn't you.."
"Listen to a lier and monster like you? How do you even know what Im like you haven't seen me for 6 years and now you try to get to know me... The only reason I was ever around you was because I felt sorry for you as you were a pathetic freak who hated herself.."
"Laurence... I will always love you..." I said as his sword  when across my arm drawing a bit of blood.
"You never made me happy... you never truly cared about me..." two more cuts were made into my skin.
"Please..." I looked back and see a hole that looked like it was never ending.
"The best thing you can do for me.... is die..."

I take one step back and fall..
