Chapter 22:

I woke up and checked my phone, Mallisa hasn't texted me since yesterday, so I suppose she is still asleep. I walked over to the kitchen made myself some cereal and turned on the T.V. and flipped through the channels till I made it to the daily news.

"Welcome back to Chanel 707, I'm your host Mary with co host Jack. Hey Jack did you hear what's going on at Starlight wonderland?" The hostess said as I raised the volume-for the T.V.
"You mean about the possible ultima sighting." Jack said as my eyes widened and my face turned pale. "Yeah, I heard that the Guardian Forces are searching the islands."
"I can't believe that the Lycian's are the prime suspect for being the Ultima, isn't Derek a CEO for his company, even if they aren't the Ultima, I'm sure his company will take a big hit on their reputation." My heart skipped a beat.
"Yes, I have also heard that they are going to be quarantining the park till further notice, so if your still on the island try getting out while you still can." With that I turned off the T.V and ran upstairs to grab my phone.

I bolted outside with a silver case, got into my car as I dialed Rika.
"Hey, did you see the news?"
"Unfortunately, do you still have your wolf den?"
"Yes I have it with me."
"Good, you may need it."
"I know, i right now I'm driving to my base to get my helicopter."
"Ok, but don't you think you will need backup?"
"With everything going on, I don't want to get more people involved. If I don't text you back in a days time, call Lexi and tell her that I won't be able to make it to the wedding, and Ruji is at his friends house I'll send you the information."
"Will do, just stay safe."
"I'll do my best."
"No, you need to stay safe, you are on your last life, don't do anything stupid."
"Rika, look at you look at everyone, we all have one life, well naturally. That doesn't stop people from doing reckless things. I will try my best not to put myself in harms way, for Ruji's sake, but if it comes to worst case scenario, I need you to promise me that you will take care of Ruji, at least till he is old enough to take on my business." I said as I made it to my destination and got out of the car and grabbed my case.
"I will, but im hoping I won't have to." She said.
"Thank you." I then hung up as I went over to the security checkpoint,where I was allowed access into the base via an underground elevator.

My heart raced as I ran over to my armory, I grabbed a a bulletproof vest and some cargo pants, a black long sleeved shirt, along with a helmet, some pads for extra protection, and military boots and put them on, something told me that I would need them. I then ran over to my weapons vault, I put in a large sturdy black backpack some mead packs that had bandages, ointment, some medicine. Then I picked up cartridges of almo, along with canned food, 3 bottles of water, just in case the situation was as worse as I thought. Along with that I put a tranquilizer, a pocket knife, pistol, sniper rifle, and some grenades, which hopefully I wouldn't have to use, into my bag. My goal is that I wouldn't have to use any of my powers, so that I would be able to stay as under the radar as possible. From there I made my way over to my slick black helicopter, and grabbed the keys for it from a counter. I was a bit rusty but I still knew how to pilot it, I pressed a red button on the launch pad that opened the underground base to the surface and then pressed a button to raise the pad to the surface. As the pad moved the ground slowly shakes and I got into the chopper and set my route to Starlight before taking off in flight, and I set my bag and case beside me. Once I was at a high enough altitude I set the helicopter into auto pilot so that I could try to rest, or to at least think of a plan.

As I neared my destination, one thought replayed in my mind. 'Hopefully I'm not to late...'

???'s POV:
"Sir!"
"Oh I was looking for some but since your here, tell Ryan to meet me at my office."
"Ok, but sir, I have urgent news from the security tower."
"What is it?" I raised my eyebrows.
"Their is an unidentifiable aircraft approaching Starlight! Sir, we are awaiting your command!" The guard said in a rushed like state.
"Wait a bit, to see if it changes course."
"And if it doesn't?" He said as I chuckled.
"Shoot it down... And get the girl ready."
