Chapter 20:

~the next day~
Y/n's Pov:

Today's is our last day in starlight before we need to leave for Lexi and Bennett's wedding. I was sitting down watching Ruji as he swam around in the pool, and Laurence, I think he is still asleep. I sighed as I watched a cute werewolf couple hold each other in warm embrace, and saw a human couple holding hands. Then I looked at myself, a werewolf in love with a human. It wasn't the first time I thought about this, I could even see that Laurence was thinking the same... That maybe we weren't supposed to be with each other, and then I remember what happened at the cabin. All of the sudden I feel faint and pass out.

"Long time no see." She said as I looked at her.

"Emily? What's going on, why now of all times?" I said as I gazed upon her now physical form as she was no longer inside of a mirror.

"I had to, something has happened." She said and I nodded.

"What happened?"

"The barrier, it has been broken."

"What barrier?"

"Michael, he has been released, somehow.."

"What do you mean?" I said in partial shock, "how do I know that this isn't an ordinary dream."

"Ill prove it.. Here" she puts her cold hand on my arm to show a paw print. "When you wake up this mark will be on your arm, you have to warn the others!"

"I will!!"

"Wait before you go! I have to tell you something, its about your sister, she is-"

I woke up on the recliner and my eyes widened.

"Excuse me ma'am are you alright?" A waiter asked as I nodded and got up.

"I'm fine, just exhausted." I said as I looked at my arm and saw a slowly fading paw print. "I should get going... I had to much sun for one day.." I said as Ruji walked over and grabbed a towel.

"Hey mom what's going on?"

"Don't worry, why don't we stop by great Uncle Dereks place ok?" I said and he nodded. We walked over to the apartment, and I walked up to uncle Derek's room and knocked.

"Hey kido what's up?" He asked he could sense that something was wrong.

"Can I please talk to you in private?" I asked and he nodded. "Ruji can you stay out here for a minute?" I asked and he nodded and went on his phone.

"What's bothering you?"

"Its about Michael, I think he has escaped."

"Why do you think this?" He asked as I looked down and showed him my arm, the paw print still visible but barely. "Where did you get that?"

"I'm a host, for a spirit, who doesn't remember her name, but she calls herself Emily. She told me that the barrier was broken and Michael was released, and gave me this mark to show me that it wasn't some ordinary dream.. She also was about to tell me something about my sister but wasn't able to."

"I'm sorry but even with this 'mark' I still can't believe you. When we sealed him there we made it nearly impossible for anyone to open the barrier. I'm sorry." He said and I nodded as I then walked out. Ruji fallowed me and I walked over to the apartment. And I stood at the door as I heard 2 voices from inside the apartment, i whispered to Ruji to stay quiet. As I pressed my ear against the door as I listened in.

"Oh no its fine, I dont mind."

"And where is she?" A female voice said.

"(y/n)? She is out with her son till late noon, probably thinks I'm still asleep."

"I see, then we will have plenty of time."

"Of course, she may be back early but I doubt that." I hear a some liquid being pored into a glass.

"Well then we should be extra quiet. We don't want to spoil the secret, do we?" I hear someone laugh. "Now where were we, the documents, everything you need for it to be final is here," hearing enough I write down 'I have to leave early.. I have something to do.' I taped it to the door and grabbed Ruji's hand and left.

I made it to the docks and sat down at a bench waiting for the next boat to bring us to the mainland. Ruji's face full of fear and worry, but didn't say anything.  We watched as the boat slowly docked and I purchased a ticket and Ruji looked at me and looked at the ticket and his eyes widened as he read the place of destination.

"Mom, where are we going?"

"Home..."

I felt water splash onto my face.

"Mom are you ok? You passed out!" Ruji said as I looked at my arm and saw the paw print, and took a picture of it.

"Why don't we head to the apartment?" I said as I remembered what happened in my 'dream'

"Ok, is everything ok your face just went white?" Ruji asked and I smiled.

"I'm fine, don't worry about it!" I said as I watched as a brown haired lady in a black and white work uniform, enter the apartment building My heart racing as I followed. She managed to get into the elevator before it closed, got into the next elevator, sweat started to form as I made it to my floor and I watched as the door to my apartment closed.

"Damn cheater..." I said as tears rolled down my face. "I knew it.. I god damn knew it.." I said as Ruji gave me a hug.

"Mom what's going on?"

"Laurence... He..he is cheating on me.."

"Mom, why don't we wait a bit. Maybe he just walked back in. Or something, just wait here for a bit? Or maybe your over reacting, and she is his secretary, he is a singer after all. Let's wait." I nodded but didn't agree and we waited for over 1 hour before watching the same woman walk out of the apartment and to the elevator.

"Ruji go inside as if nothing has happened pack your things. Call Ana tell her to send my private jet.." I said as we then walked inside to my room and grabbed my suit case, I heard the shower running and tried not to make a sound as I packed my things. I then grabbed the photos that were on my suit case of me and... him... My butler then walked inside and took Ruji and my luggage to bring to the jet, I told Ruji to go with him and I will catch up, as I had to do something. I then grabbed all my photos and went to the stove and set them aflame before running to my jet not saying goodbye. My gut feeling couldn't be wrong could it? After all if it was his secretary why wouldn't he tell me.. I'm doing what's right.. for me... for us...

Right?...
