Chapter 23:

Previously...
"There is an unidentifiable aircraft approaching Starlight! Sir, we are awaiting your command!" The guard said in a rushed like state.
"Wait a bit, to see if it changes course."
"And if it doesn't?" He said as I chuckled.
"Shoot it down... And get the girl ready."

Y/n's POV:
I squinted my eyes as I saw a metal looking object fly straight toward my chopper. I jumped off of my seat grabbed my bags and jumped off, right before the missile exploded into my helicopter. 'Hopefully, this still works...' I thought as I closed my eyes, and opened them to reveal my dragon wings as I flew right above the surface of the water and made my way to the westernmost side of the island. I landed on the ground after making sure there was no one in sight then hid my wings. 'What have they done to the place...' I thought as I looked at all the ransacked buildings. I cautiously made my way over to the apartment that I stayed at, making sure I wouldn't run into any G.F. Officers I made it to my apartment and pried opened the door. The whole place was a mess, drawers open, tables turned it looked like a hurricane passed through. As I walked down the hallway I heard a small noise crackle beneath my feet. I move my feet and tears fill my eyes as I pick up the silver heart-shaped locket, and put it in my pocket and besides it was a piece of paper, in a folder labeled  Proposal plans... My heart shattered in two, how could I be such a fool. I opened the folder to see the costs of fireworks, a private beach, restaurant reservations. 'Mellisa knew... that's why she said it could be about a surprise..' I placed the folder in my backpack and then put it on. 'I need to find them, I need to make sure that they are ok.' I thought as I carefully made my way out of the apartment, and tried to make my way to Aph' s place without being spotted. As I made it inside the whole building was deserted, and it was a wreck like my apartment. 'Damn it...' I walked around trying to see if I could find any possible clues as to where they could have gone, as their sent and tracks have already nearly vanished.

???'s POV:

I walked down to the cells to check up on the new inmates. 'So he is the one she choose...' I thought as I walked over to the door of his cell and saw him fiddling with something in his hand.
"You know, playing with that trinket isn't going to make the time pass any faster," I said as he looked up at me then looked back down, his face is rather pleasant to look at, I could see why she likes him. "You and I both want the same thing you know, to see her."
"I don't know what you're talking about.." he said rather coldly.
"That ring, it was for her... Wasn't it?"
"Shut up..." He said as I looked down.
"I know you don't want to be here, neither do I. You don't have to be that rude though, after all, it's not good to talk bad to family."
"What's with you and Ein, and this whole 'family' thing..."
"First, I'm not like Ein, at least I have an actual heart. Second, she is my family. Hence why I want to see her." I said as I sat down against the cell door. "You know, just because you're in a cage it doesn't mean you are the only one trapped you know... Ever since I was little and Michael 'Saved me', he all ways threatened me that if I didn't do what he said he would hurt her. I don't understand why he wouldn't give me any potions; after all, he wants to see my kind extinct. Then again he did use a potion on me that saved my life, he made me find test subjects to bring him, I hated it... I hated that he made me hurt them, he didn't need to use a potion for that, just his eyes. Like in Code G, you know the anime where this one guy just has to look into your eyes to make you do his command. The only thing is that he can use it however many times he wants."
"I don't understand why you are telling me this." He said as I got up onto my feet and brushed off the imaginary crumbs from my black leather pants.
"Because, of all people she could have chosen, she chooses you. That means she saw something in you, that she could try to trust you. And with her being the only person I did and will ever trust, I feel like through her I can trust you." I said as I looked down the hallway and saw a Guard run up to me.
"Ma'am, Micheal wants to speak with you.." The Guard said as I nodded and followed him up the stairs. 'What on earth does he want this time...'
