The house was filled with already drunken teenagers, almost everyone I recognised. We entered the main hallway which was the size of my house. The floors were white porclein with two curved stairwells leading up to the same landing that leads off to bedrooms and bathrooms. Off of the main entryway I guess you could call it was arch ways on either side. To the left there was a wide open livingroom with the biggest flat screen t.v and three couches, the kitchen filled with stainless steel equipment and a wide island went off of the kitchen. The kitchen was visible through the living room thaks to the island that acted as a barrier between the two. On the Right side there was what they called a lounging room, it had all of the same things a living room had except for a t.v. Which off of that was a room just like a ballroom; wooden floors, chandeliers, and the works. In the back room attached to the kitchen and the ballroom is the dining room with a table that seats twenty people.

"So where do we start?" I asked glancing over the structure of the place. It was a palace compared to my home yet it felt empty and cold. People I knew and some I didn't roamed in and out through rooms, red solo cups in hand, each of them chatting away or trying to dance along with the beat of a song that has no real lyrics.

"Umm how about a drink?" Nick suggested releasing his hold on my shoulders. Adam's arm still clung to my body while mine stayed on his waist. I looked back to see if the other boys would be into that idea but none of them were there.

"Over there," Adam gestured towards Ryan who was chatting up a blonde girl by the stairway on the right side of the room. Taylor was being lead into the open room where I'm guessing they had a game of beer pong set up considering the cheers eminating from that room. And Travis and Gavin were no where in sight.

"Well then I guess it's just the three...two of us," I changed my answer when I noticed Nick eyeing a short brunette in a slim red dress.

"Beer it is," Adam replied walking in the direction of the kitchen. Many people greeted Adam, mostly girls, but he only said a quick hello and then continued on to the kitchen with me. "Two beers good sir," Adam ordered from Preston Winters, Maria's brothers best friend, who stood guard over the keg. The two boys went into a conversation about the basketball game coming up. Our school team needed a few more players because Aaron Riley was suspended, Brian Henderson ended up getting ship off to rehab by his parents, and Chris Kenders can't be on the team for the next few games until he gets his grades back up.

Preston was practicaly begging Adam to be a replacement on the team for a while. It was a smart move. Putting Adam and Taylor on the same team is practically a guaranteed win. While Adam doesn't play for any of the school's teams it doesn't mean that he isn't the perfect man for the job.

"Please man? Just a few games?" Preston begged.

"Stop begging Preston and hand me a drink," I ordered riping the red solo cup he just filled up with beer. I chugged down half the cup down in a second.

"Hey Zara, you are as cheerful as ever," He laughed. "Nice boots," He commented nodding his head down at my favorite pair of combat boots. I smiled at him over the rim of my cup. Everyone knew that combat boots were my signature accessorise. Almost all the girls I knew, not on a personal 'lets call ourselves friends' level but on a 'hey I've gone to school with you forever' kind of level, that they collect massive amounts of shoes. All I need is the two pair of combat boots and my pair of sneakers, nothing more in the shoe department.

"You know me, always trying to look my best," I joke. Preston smiled before glancing me over from head to toe.

"I can't argue there," He replied. I wasn't the type of girl to twirl my hair and giggle at a guy I like and I wasn't really looking for a relationship, just some good hard fun which Preston seemed to be offering me with his eyes. Adam cleared his throat drawing our attention back to him.

"So basketball..." Adam interjected trying to change the subject back. Preston and him went back to chatting away about the game.

"I've got an idea," I interrupted them. Both of the boys looked at me but I waited patiently until Preston finished hadning off a few drinks to some girls who took their sweet time getting their damn drinks. Now that they were gone, "Ok so Adam will play with you in the games but Gavin and I are going to be on the team as well." I finished sipping my drink. Preston looked me over with surprise while Adam glanced me over with a mischievous gleam in his eyes.

Preston was quiet for a moment, contemplating the idea, but I knew he would agree eventually. I also knew that Gavin wouldn't mind playing in a good competative game. Adam didn't seem to protest the idea of playing with us either, which I knew he wouldn't, and it was just another reason that Preston was going to say yes. After another amused glance from me to Adam, Preston finally agreed.

"You've got yourself a deal Mrs. Morris," Preston finally said. He reached a hand out in front of him and a took it sealing the deal. He glanced between our joined hands before smiling up at me through his dark lashes.

"Well now that we got that over with let's go party, I hear they have games," I winked raising Preston and my raised hands above my head and pulled Preston behind me. My red solo cup was raised in my other hand and I flaunted through the room to the living room, Adam followed us. A few seats were open on the couch so I snagged them, Preston took a seat on my left and Adam on my left. A random guy I didn't know had a bunch of cups wrapped up in his arms and started passing them out. I grabbed my second cup of beer and started to join in on the games.
