Speed Prank

I'm writing this on my phone so I'm not sure how long it actually is. Normally it ends up being a lot shorter than I think it is... not to mention that being on a phone is infamous for typos. My apologies

Also this isn't supposed to be shippy but if you want it to be here's some Chalissa XD

A yellow blur sped past Melissa.

"Woah!" She exclaimed, surprised. The bolt of electricity froze and then sped back to the blue-haired girl.

"Melissa!" Chase called, slightly out of breath. "H-here you are! W-we need y-your help!"

Melissa was immediately confused and slightly worried. "What? Why?" She demanded.

"J-Just come with m-me. I'll explain w-when we get there!" The blonde boy grabbed Melissa's arm and suddenly the world was in slow motion.

"Woah..." the sound manipulation Magiclica breathed as the other students on the path barely moved while she and Chase seemed to be moving as normal.

Chase smiled shyly. "Pretty cool, huh?" Melissa nodded.

"Completely."

Chase looked forward. "Just run with me, okay? As long as we are touching we'll both be speedy." He took a step forward, but Melissa was staring at him oddly.

"You didn't stutter?" She questioned with honest surprise. Chase stopped.

"I guess having the special ability of going supersonic changes how I talk sometimes. I don't really notice, honestly!" His smile was more confident than usual.

I guess knowing how to use your special ability and doing what you love makes it easier to be confident, huh? Melissa decided in her mind.

She and Chase starter jogging at a normal speed while everyone around them were almost frozen. Chase led her to their classroom, which was empty all except for Ivy and Quinston.

"Wait," Melissa Sau suddenly. A sneaky grin crawled onto her face. "Want to prank them?"

Chase was intrigued. "What are you thinking?"

Melissa looked up at the ceiling in thought. "Release BowBow?"

"Mel, that is a HORRIBLE idea!"

"Yeah I know. Ummm... what about that we speed around and throw books and stuff at them and then go up the stairs to the invisible platform and watch them freak out?" Melissa suggested.

Chase started quietly giggling. "I'm in!"

The two walked into the classroom with Melissa still clutching Chase's arm and headed straight to the bookshelf in the back. They took a book each, glanced at each other, and then each chucked it towards their slow-motion friends. As soon as the books left their hands, it slowed down and barely moved through the air. They took another book each and moved over a few steps (as the other books were blocking the previous space) and tossed those too.

Then they hurried over to Mr. Foley's desk and took some of the pencils from a cup in his desk and threw those too.

"Cmon, let's go watch this happen!" Chase said and tugged Melissa up the spiral staircase to the invisible platform.

"This thing always freaks me out," the blue-haired girl commented idly as she tenaciously took each step onto the see-through floor.

Chase nodded. "Even growing up as a Magiclica, it does for me too.

Melissa let go of Chase and immediately everything turned back to real time. Quinston and Ivy looked animated again versus the statues they were in slow motion. The books and pencils suddenly flew through the air, smacking their friends down below.

Ivy shrieked and Quinston stumbled as a book hit him in the back.

"What the heck?!" Ivy exclaimed.

Chase and Melissa failed to control their laughter. Quinston looked up with a seriously annoyed look.

"CHASE!" He yelled and shot a fireball at them, which dissipated as soon as it hit the invisible barrier, but still made the duo jump.

"I-it was M-Melissa's i-idea!" Chase protested.

"Wow, Chase, way to throw me under the bus!"

"Melissa, why?! I thought we were friends!" Ivy complained.

The Cipher-now-Magiclica shrugged. "Sorry Ivy, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!"

Chase was still howling. "I-I'm not a g-girl though?" He said in between laughs.

"You're an honorary girl for the moment." Melissa decided. Quinston gasped.

"Chase how dare you betray me?" He exclaimed in feigned shock.

"What in the world is going on here?" The four Magiclica students froze as Mr. Foley walked into the room.

"Uhhhhhh" they all said. Mr. Foley looked at all the scattered items on the floor.

Chase turned into the Flash and quickly picked up all the objects and put them in their correct places before speeding out of the room.

"Chase!" They all yelled, but he was long gone.

"Quick Melissa, hypnotize him!" Ivy said. Melissa shook her head while having a stricken look and Quinston said that was a horrible idea.

Mr. Foley only sighed as the remaining three of his students all smiled and waved awkwardly. "Just please leave my classroom..."
