A reason to love The Magiclicas? I think the question is, what is a reason NOT to love The Magiclicas?! The quirky, lovable characters, the unique storyline, the twists and turns that leave viewers on the edge of their seats and begging for more all make this a series worth watching. This is so much more than just another Minecraft roleplay. Minecraft is just the way this story was told. If this were a Netflix show, it would have just as much of an amazing following, not to mention more! The world that this series takes place in has many real-life issues that make the places and events just as feasible as they are impossible. The concept of the world is unique. The segregation between Magiclicas and Ciphers makes viewers have to really consider each point of view in a decision. The morals of the story, that no one is only good, nor is anyone a fully evil person, and that you have to look past their flaws to truly understand them and that everyone does something for a reason, makes not only for some cute ship moments but some good real-life lessons as well.
The characters are all special and unique in their own way. Between Melissa and the secrets of her existence, Chase and his stutter and his kind heart, or Jax and his want to have equal rights to the chocolate fountain. I could go into every single character's traits that make them all unique and lovable and amazing, but I don't think anyone wants to hear that. We already know all this already! Every single character here has strengths and flaws that make them as real as anyone reading this, whether they have magic or not.
But maybe the reason this series is so great isn't within the series itself. Maybe it's within the adoring fans or the voices behind the characters. There is a great cast of up-and-coming voice actors and producers that make this show truly special. There are the amazing fans in the comments and on the Discord server that are always making fanart and having a good conversation about the most recent episode or theorizing about what happens next! And maybe to top it all off, we have a sincerely dedicated head of all of this that puts in days of work to write, record, edit, and create the effects for every single episode. Without Jakey's simple idea of a high school roleplay with magic, none of this would ever have been fathomable!
So there's more than one reason to absolutely love and possibly obsess over The Magiclicas. The ONLY thing I can complain about is that the wiki isn't up to date! But that's not so bad. Because in order to get the info I need, I get to binge watch all the episodes all over again!
