AU where at some point (I'm going off episodes 10/11) Ichiro manages to steal the White Stone and the Spero are now the most powerful faction in the Magiclica world

—————————

Three young people sat around a table. Two half-sisters and their adopted brother, to be precise.

"Did you lock the door?" The white-haired sister asked.

"Triple checked," The redhead brother confirmed.

The blue-haired sister used her magic and an aqua barrier flashed in front of the door before fading away.

"No one will be overhearing this," she stated.

And then they sat in silence.

"Are we really going through with this?" Misuki questioned.

"We have to," Melissa immediately retorted, "this isn't right!"

Kai took a deep breath, his eyes shut before he raised his determined gaze. "I agree. Ichiro May be our father in some way, but his control needs to be stopped. The COM may have been bad, but at least they weren't so obviously a dictatorship that violence is caused."

Misuki nodded. "Right."

"LuLu, can you get the plans? Let's go over them one more time before we pull it off tonight," Melissa asked, using her half-sister's preferred nickname that had been lost to the rest of their peers.

Misuki nodded with a smile and seemed to almost melt into a shadow on the floor. She slipped underneath the sealed doorway and slithered through their mansion to retrieve the requested plans.

"You know, you'd make a good leader, Mel," Kai commented. Melissa huffed.

"You've said this before. I've answered before. I don't want to be the leader of this. If any of us were in control, we'd be feared because of our father. We have no right to the power."

Kai sighed in aggravation. "I know, I know. But if something happens and you're put into the leader position, you'd be good at it. You'd do your best to keep everyone safe and happy."

The bluenette girl smiled bitterly. "Thanks, Kai."

A shadow slid under the doorway and materialized into Misuki holding a bundle of papers tied together. She placed them on the table and started to separate them. Her siblings joined her around the table and they discussed their final plan once more.

Their father was smart, unfortunately.

Ichiro was the one to realize that only a miscela could break the spell ward on the White Stone and had waited seventeen years for his children to be strong enough to fulfill this task. Once he had the Stone in his possession, he had granted his followers true powers and then locked away the Stone once more. He had placed a new ward on it, so that only he, as far as he knew, could access the Stone's powers.

"A security measure," he had dismissed when his children had inquired about the fact that they could not go near the Stone as well. "In case something ever goes... awry. Don't worry, when one of you takes my place, I will make sure you can access it as well. What kind of a father would I be if I couldn't pass on my legacy?"

The term "father" was relative here. Melissa hated this man with a passion for destroying her life, Misuki felt betrayed by him for his lies to her and her mother, and Kai had lost all respect but fear for him when he threatened Kai into betraying his friends all those years ago. All three of them could name a better father-figure than Ichiro.
