I genuinely don't know this but I'm kind of scared to find out O.o
Season 2 episode 7
What did Ichiro/his influence cause Chase to do at the prison???
(Quick sidetrack: anyone notice that the black in Chase's hair spread more?? Obviously Ichiro is getting stronger and more influence somehow)
We know he broke in, got seen, and sort of led to believe that that's all he did?
But then why are the Spero so worked up about this??
They had a SIGNIFICANTLY more violent reaction to seeing iChase at the prison, despite them being some of the few people that previously knew of his existence. It doesn't make sense that they would be so furious if they already knew if what the rest of the world was just finding out.
Which leads me to believe that Reborn Chase might have done something bad at the prison that day.
Easy answer:
Yeah that's blood in Chase's flashbacks it's bitted so low rez but that's totally what it's supposed to be
And who is still in prison that we know?
That the Spero would be concerned about and angered that someone happened to?
Reina.
Chase killed Reina.
Or at least hurt her somehow?
Now you may be asking: why? Why would Ichiro do this? Isn't Reina his right-hand woman?
Well, yes. At least she's very elite in the Spero rankings, but maybe not QUITE at the top? Because there were a few times that Ichiro refused to answer her questions
But she's still very respected within the Spero and feared outside it. She knows things about the Spero and their plans.
She's a liability.
One that Ichiro must eliminate if his organization is to stay powerful. If their secrets get out, then that means that 1. The Spero are less of a mystery and less scary 2. The COM can prepare for any events this may have been planned but not put into action before the White Stone Festival incident. Reina could spill a lot of secrets- the Spero having a SHARD of the White Stone, how when that power is combined with a demone scuro results in the Speros' brand of power, who is in the organization, where their base is, heck, she could even be a threat to the "good" guys in that she could completely reveal Sarah's and Melissa's respective secrets.
So while she may be loyal to the Spero, the lawful Magiclicas always have the upper hand. And Ichiro knew this, so when he found that Reina was in prison, he knew that her purpose had been served and any liabilities has to be eliminated.
A lot of this is character analysis and speculation, so here's a little more concrete evidence, although it's a little bit of tea and I'm not going to go into very much detail as it's not really my business to spill, but I'm using it to help solidify my theory sooo
There's been a bit of conflict going on with the VAs. There's different stories and I will not go into detail except in the one I need to.
Really it isn't that much conflict, just more confusion. One or two of the VAs thought that their characters were killed in the finale when they were not and had moved on to other voice acting projects and couldn't really do both, so executive actions had to be made to actually remove their characters from the story.
I'm not really sure who or what, this is just something I read over, but if this is true, then maybe if Reina was killed this could be one of those cases?? This *ahem* development with Kaiston could be leading up to this as well, although Jakey has made it sound in stream chats and such that this is plot-related, not so much executive, as he's said "this is just the beginning of the Kaiston storyline" soooooo
(I have some speculations on the recent Kaiston conflict, so you want me to post anything on that?)
So yeah. I think that's another death to add to the list, albeit off camera (ty because there's been enough on-screen deaths lately and I'm struggling to write happy things because of it—)
And I'm kind of sad about this, because while it was unlikely we would ever get a full story on Reina, I liked my few headcanons and theories about her and her role in the Spero XD
