Chapter 20

Tittle- A Few Months

Meredith's POV

A few months passed and everything is going smoothly. I made the basketball team. Varsity starter!!! Alex and Austin made a YouTube channel! Their name is ShootUsDown. I thought it was so clever! They've been getting a lot of views.

Tyler is talking to this new girl who is perfect for him! Robert and Zach both have gorgeous girlfriends. They're very nice too! Alex and Sarah are doing great. Which now leaves Austin and I...

After the day we almost kissed he's been just perfect. He's being a complete gentleman. He always opens doors for me and uses manners around my mom. Everyone in my family loves him way more than what they did Bennett. Mason and Matt love playing basketball with him. Austin is so great with them. He's going to be a great dad one day.

But don't get me wrong Austin is still the biggest goof I've ever met. Even though we were best friends before, we still are, he's managed to be more open with me. I didn't think that was even possible.

We aren't officially together but it's clear to everyone that we like each other. I can't even begin to describe how jealous I get when girls flirt with him. Like can they not?

He's everything I look for in a guy. Every time he looks at me my heart skips a beat. I swear that boy will be the death of me because everyday he manages to make me fall more and more in love with him.

Austin's POV

A few months passed and everything is going okay. Everyone in the crew has a girl and then there's me. I feel like I've gotten no where with Meredith. I hate to say it but I feel like I'm loosing her.

I mean I know people say she likes me but I've never had a girl who wasn't all over me before. That's how I usually tell that a girl likes me. But don't get me wrong I still love her. More than you know.

I just need a way for her to show it.

Bennett's POV

A few months passed and everything isn't okay. I now know how badly I screwed up. She's madly in love with Austin and it's so obvious. That's the way she use to look at me.. I'd do anything to get her back in my arms.

Taylor was a huge mistake. She just wanted Meredith to suffer. But it didn't work because Austin was there for her. She was so heartbroken and it was all my fault.

I truly do love her.

I guess the saying of you never know how much you truly love someone until they're gone is true.

She's gone and I'm a wreck.

Meredith's POV

"I'm off to school bye mom! Don't forget about my rivalry game tonight! Love you guys!!!!" Today was game day and I couldn't be more pumped up about it. I walked out of the house wearing my basketball sweats and warm up with my hair straighten with an half up half down look.

"You look really pretty." I slowly turned around and saw Bennett standing there with his hands in his pockets. He had a sincere smile. Over the past few months we've only exchanged about 5 and 1/2 words to each other.

"Well thanks.. I guess." I started walking off to the bus. "Can I at least walk with you to the bus?" should I? "Please?" I nodded my head yes just because he's been nice lately. He gave me a cheeky smile then ran to catch up with me.

"So who do you play today?" he kindly asked. "We play our school's rival today." I chuckled. "Wait that's today?!" he looked to me panicky. "Yes. How'd you not know. It's only the biggest game of the year." He ran his fingers through his hair. "My mind's been somewhere lately." yeah on Taylor's ass. "I know what you're thinking and stop. I stopped talking to Taylor after we.. broke up." I thought he was still with her.

Bennett got in front of me causing me to stand before him. "Look Meredith I know I have no chance at winning you back but I just wanted to let you know that I'm truly sorry. I was stupid." I couldn't look him in the eyes. I just can't. He gently lifted my chin up so I could look up into his teary, big, blue eyes. "But believe me when I say this.. I will never stop loving you." I wiped his tears and hugged him. Not out of pity or love but out of a hope for a new start.

"I forgive you."
