Don't Give Up On Me

Chapter 15

Title- Tears

Austin's POV

"Don't worry I wasn't planning on it." here I am sitting on a sidewalk curb with the most beautiful girl in the world in my arms crying of a guy who broke her heart. I can't believe he did that to her. But karma got him good and when I say that I mean I got him good. Lets just say he's going to have a fat lip for awhile.

"Can you come to my house and call everyone ov- over." Meredith sniffles into my shoulder. "Of course." I got up and offered her a hand up and we started towards her house. She seemed really cold so I gave her my jacket and she smiled.

I mean I really, really, really like her but I'm not going to try to make her my girlfriend just yet. She will be though, you can count on that.

We arrived at her house 10 minutes later after taking the secret shortcut. She got her key out from under the flower pot. "My mom and brothers aren't he- here is that oh-kay?" I shook my head and watched her as she continued crying; wiping her tears after each one fell off her delegate face. Seeing her cry made my heart hurt. Weather she knows it or not she has become a part of me and I want that feeling to stay forever.

"I'm goin-g to take a shower and the-then change. You can go in my room." she looked to me tiredly. "You know... even with your eyes all puffy and red and with your make-up running you're still easily the most beautiful girl I've ever laid my eyes on." she is the most gorgeous girl in the world. "You're on-only saying that to make me feel better but thanks." she giggled and started up the stairs. "I only speak the truth. You Meredith are more beautiful than anyone on this planet." she smiled. God her smile. The one thing that makes me fall in love with over and over again. "Thank you." She walked into the bathroom and about five minutes pass then I start to hear the shower start up. I took that as my cue to call the crew over, well text.

After I sent out the group message it took 5 minutes before they all responded but they were all on there way and by them I meant Alex, Sarah, Tyler, Zach, and Robert.

They all soon got here and by that time Meredith was out of the shower, probably getting dressed.

"Okay so why'd you call us all over here?" tyler confusingly asked.

"Well if you guys didn't know.. Meredith caught Bennett cheating on her with Taylor. She really wanted you all here." they all looked extremely shocked.

"Where is he? I'm not about to let him mess with my best friend like that. He going to pay." Sarah got up and was heading towards the door.

"I already took care of that part. I punched him pretty hard." they all laughed and gave me high fives.

After our celebration sessions the room fell silent.

"Alright Austin we all know you like Meredith so when are you going to make your move?" Alex caught me off guard.

"You all knew I liked her?" was it that obvious. Does she know?

"Yeah it was really obvious and she does know. We all decided on telling her because we can tell by the way she looks at you, that she feels the same way." Did I think aloud? oh well but I guess what Alex said was right but was it true? Could she feel the same way?

"Guys to be completely honest.. I think I might even love her."

Meredith's POV

When I shut the bathroom door my legs gave out on me. I slid down the bathroom door and cried. Then when I got the strength to get back up, I took a seat on the toilet and cried. I cried until I had no more tears left.

I feel like I've been pierced through the heart. The worst part is, is that he knew what he did was wrong and thought it was okay. I was too blind to even notice what was going on.

Right now I'm sitting on the staircase trying to gather myself and my feeling together before I'm confronted by all my friends.

It was quiet between all them. It wasn't an awkward silence it was more of a thinking one.

"Alright Austin we all know you like Meredith so when are you going to make your move?" Alex spoke out. I hope they know I'm not ready for a boyfriend and I need to get over Bennett.

"You all knew I liked her," he paused "was it that obvious. Does she know?" yeah I know. Sarah told me but I would've never guessed he did.

"Yeah it was really obvious and she does know. We all decided on telling her because we can tell by the way she looks at you, that she adores you too." Hold up. Ummm Alex are you sober? That's imprecise why would you think that way?

"Guys to be completely honest.. I think I might love her." Austin say what? Sarah wasn't lying after all. Oh man.

"What's taking Meredith so long?" and that's my cue. I walked into the living "Nothing." they all looked up from their phones and got up. "Guys the last thing I want right now is pity so can we turn my birthday around and have some fun?" they all looked at each other and gave me a devious look.

"Fun is what you want then that's what we'll give you but first we need to change." I laughed then took them all upstairs. I gave the guys some of Mitchell's clothes then gave Sarah mine.

Once they were done changing we met back up in the living room. "Alright first question Meredith, are you ever going to get back together with Bennett?" Robert didn't need to ask to know the answer "No." He rubbed his hands together "Then it looks like we have some shit to burn." now I was smiling deviously.
