Adonis Haynes was fresh out of high school, ready to experience the barriers of college. She has decided to do what would make her happy and major in art. She wanted to be an art teacher.
Art was her way out of this cruel and hardening world. She indeed had a hard life which made her mature earlier than others her age, but she didn't let that stop her. At an early age, she lost her parents due to a drunk driver. With not having much family to begin with, she had to live with her dad's sister, her aunt Kia Haynes, as her legal guardian. Kia was the best guide to life and raised Adonis to be the beautiful and humorous woman that she is today. With Kia by her side, she had everything she needed and didn't have to worry about anything. But now she is on her own.
Her own choices and her own actions.
With hair that defied gravity and seeing the world through hazel eyes, she stood out. Yet it was a good thing. She was able to bring smiles to everyone she met, and it was easy for her to make friends. Her name was ironic because she knew she was beautiful, but she didn't let it go to vain.
When she gets accepted to the University of Houston, she's ecstatic. This year she plans on meeting new friends, going different places, and using those canvas like she never has before.
No distractions will get in the way of her and her dreams.
But little does she know some things are bound to happen.
