I went to my other irrelevant classes that I paid for. I mean if we're being honest this book is mostly going to be set place in about two classes so get used to it. I always thought about how college was a scam and how I'm taking classes that had literally nothing to do with my potential career. Well, that's life. Just a big scam.

My stomach rumbled.

Damn, I was hungry. I looked around and spotted an cafe across the street. It wouldn't hurt to try since I was done with classes for the day. So I made it to the traffic light and pushed the button. I waited a good five minutes before I crossed. I looked at the cars in all directions and smirked as I walked.

I wished these mothersuckers would make me some guac today.

I finally got on to the other side and looked up a the circular sign on the side of the building.

Common Bond: Bakery & Café

Jackpot.

On the outside, people lounged and chatted with others. When I walked in, I discovered it was a nice little cafe. Customers sat a small, squared tables while eating the pastries. The workers behind the counter making the orders while waiters marched their way to the tables to deliver them. They wore black and white fedoras that added to the theme of the bakery's anterior. Modern lamps hung over the pastries, lighting up my newfound love.

While waiting in line, my eyes zoomed in on this one piece of strawberry cheesecake. I was basically drooling while looking through the glass.

"Um, ma'am who's who's staring a hole into the glass, are you ready to order?"

I looked away from my precious glory to see a young looking worker with a name tag that said Zachariah. Amusement was held in his brown eyes as he tried to not laugh. He looked as if he could be in college.

I coughed and straightened myself up. "Well yes.... can I have the strawberry cheesecake and a piece of the snicker ice cream cake, please."

He grinned and dinged the bell for the workers in the back. "One case of diabetes!" The workers all rolled their eyes. "Okay, I meant to say a strawberry cheesecake and snickers' icecream," He looked back at me. "Your total will be $6.58."

I laughed and I reached into my wallet, giving him my money while he placed it in the cash register. "You can take a seat while I'll bring your order when it's ready." He said, handing me my receipt.

I walked away and found a table closer to the window. I was staring out the window walking pass, when Zachariah had came with my order without me noticing. "You don't typically pay attention, huh?" I jumped then he jumped. "Jeez, you trying to make me drop the treats?" His words were laced with a strong accent.

"My bad. I was just looking out the-" I had saw this fine ass dude pass by the window just then. He noticed I was looking and winked.

"Close your mouth sweetie. He was winking at me." Zachariah had brushed off his shoulders and then went to pump up his imaginary breasts.

I burst out laughing.

"You are something." I told him as he placed my cakes on the table.

"That's funny. My mom says the same thing." He sat down and reached out his hand. "The name's Zack Cornell. What's your name?"

"Haynes, Adonis Haynes.", I returned the gesture and we shook hands.

"So do you come here often?" He asked as he rested his head on his hand while playing around with a nearby salt shaker.

"If that's a pick up line, you should try harder." I state, quirking my eyebrow up. Not trying to sound arrogant, but people tend to hit on me a lot from time to time.

"You wish you could have all of this glory. I'm as straight as wet spaghetti." He rolled his eyes. "Now if you will, answer my question."

Well damn.

"No. Actually this is my first time coming into this shop. But I live on campus across the street."

"Hmm. Isn't that something. I'm a student also. Second year." He smiled.

"Oh really? Well I'm a freshman."

"Oooo, fresh meat." He leaned forward, grinning.

I deadpanned.

"Anyways, what's your maj-" Zack was interrupted by a agitated man and some impatient customers.

"Zack!" The man pointed at the customers.

He facial expression turned into shock. "Lol damn. Forgot I had a job for a minute there," He got up and waved. "Bye Adonis. Nice meeting you and hope to see you again!" He sped back over to the counter and took numerous orders in an orderly fashion.

Ha.

I decided I might as well take my treats to go. I headed out the door and waved at Zack. Going back across the street to campus, I walk back to my dorm, saying a hi to some others, and prepare for a huge nap after I eat.

Good thing I had a bakery across the street from me.

I think I just made a new friend.
